Brian May was interviewed in the Sky News studio by Dermot Murnaghan. Owen Paterson by video link (who kept repeating himself and wasting the time). Brian defended keeping the Hunting Act intact and that the excuses being made to change it were disguising the real intent to return to full "blood hunting". PLEASE CONTACT YOUR MP and ask them to say "NO' in Parliamentary vote on 15 July 2015.

Would the hunters still be interested if the dogs were muzzled therefore only allowing the fox to be flushed out and not ripped to pieces?

Andy Baalham good point sir
I'm stunned at ridiculous their argument about hunting foxes to save livestock! How big are these foxes they're talking about? I understand a fox getting into a hen house and eating fowl, but a lamb (upwards of 300 pounds) is generally far larger than a fox (24 pounds).
One has too much money and don't know what to do with it so they kill defenceless animals. WHY? THIS IS BARBARIC.

What if the animals would turn on them and start doing that 😆😆 .
What a liar Paterson is. Foxes are NOT aggressive - if you said Boo to them they'd run.

Yes if a human said boo.....can’t see it working if a chicken, Lamb, domestic cat, turkey, or any other domestic animal tried....what a lame argument! The alternative is shooting pests, with a much higher probability of a kill....how about the culls that you have supported on your land DR May.(PhD thesis on astrophysics) you are a space cadet old bean, stick to cocaine and get a haircut you fool!

@@twodogsbob1786 , You're totally correct as he had Deer shot on his land then squirmed in submission when confronted. Also, he's the biggest hypocrite as his bandmate, namely Roger Taylor goes shooting certain game birds, however, May doesn't say anything regarding that one.

Exactly, the poor little things have a very short life and a horrific death. All for farmers profit. The same as the poor Badgers being murdered, it's to save farmers money, they are willing to make an entire species extinct to line their pockets. Disgusting. Then there's the government giving permission for a Beagle breeding farm in Yorkshire to send the puppies to labs for testing. It goes on and on and makes me ashamed to be human, if only we could make them see what they're doing.

Fran Noble That is just so disgusting and heartless of them. They are simply heartless. There is no way they can possibly have a heart in there. I just worry what other cold, callous decisions they are going to be making over the years they have left in power and what FOOLS voted them in. I actually thought David Cameron was alright. I am so ashamed at my poor judgement of a person. Thanks for replying and thanks for caring about the animals :)) XOXOXO
How would the Tories like it if a bunch of teedagers in hoodies started to flush out foxes in towns using staffies, trespassing across gardens etc. There would be out-roar!
Well done Brian!! Fox hunting is barbaric and should be abolished completely! It has never been a sport in the States (that I'm aware of) and we haven't been overrun with them! You should be ashamed of yourselves!
Likely as not being filmed in his back garden!
Keep up the good work Brian May
Don't kill them. Don't flush them out. Leave them in peace to go about their business as nature intended.

How do you think foxes die in the wild? I will tell you they get killed packs of coyotes or even wolves. It is going to happen to them that is the way of the wild is no different from when hounds do it and it is food for the hounds. Foxes on average will kill 700 animals in their life and guess how they kill their prey by biting them and killing them in seconds just like the hounds. Foxes also kill dogs, cats and newborn livestock.

Stop trying to make it about the poor lambs. David Cameron has been on the news saying how he used to ENJOY hunting as a "sport" all that bull about "practical management". They enjoy seeing the torture. You keep telling yourself that Owen Paterson, you evil, evil man. As Brian May (the LEGEND) said it's an excuse and it is a criminal act. Soon you'll be doing it to other "aggressive" animals, to what end?
@RedhorseWoman

+Scatty C Absolutely. If they were so concerned about "practical management" then the way to go is livestock guardian dogs to prevent the foxes from causing any harm. That, however, would ruin their "fun."

Don't kill animals unless you're attack and need to defend yourself and family and friends or for your food .

Why are the sheep farmers so concerned about foxes killing lambs anyway when the sheep are being raised to kill for the table? It's all about money!
Hunting bullshit
Paterson , mouthpiece for the fox hunting cult.

What I do not understand is why, if "foxes" are killing so many lambs (20 or 30 or so?) the farmers don't employ livestock guardian dogs to protect the flock and prevent predation from foxes or any other animal. Livestock guardian dogs have been used for centuries to guard flocks and they are still being used in many countries to great effect. Wouldn't it be better to prevent predation from occurring rather than supposedly losing 20 or 30 lambs to foxes (if that is actually the case and not due to other causes) and then calling out the fox hunters to hunt a fox (and maybe not the fox or foxes presumably responsible for the predation) so that their dogs can rip the poor animal apart...and probably kill a few pets and maybe even some sheep if they get out of hand?
Brian May, the rudest most obnoxious person there is. Why does he constantly interrupt when someone is talking. Then there's certain hunting terminology, i.e. blood hunting, that's a new one to myself. Doesn't he realise that he's making himself look a right buffoon. If one doesn't know anything about a certain subject it's just the best solution to keep ones cake hole shut!

That is what a debate is. Interruptions do not diminish one's image on a debate, actually it does the opposite. Besides those interruptions were hardly interruptions at all.
