    ppl like to pick on others about accents, but elitism doesn't erase the beauty and connective power of a regional accent. when i hear ppl who sound like they're from my hometown, i instantly feel a sense of recognition, even if we've never met. i went to college near philadelphia, so delco accents remind me of that time and sound beautiful to my ears.

They also throw in random Wawa and cheesesteak references that aren't even relevant to the story, they just put them in there to make it more "authentically Pennsylvanian"

    A block of homes in Wissinoming, Philly partially collapsed into the crick running under the whole street. I’m in S. Jersey now & get a pool in my basement when it rains. My friend’s mom in Wilmington has the same problem. Building on crick was a bad idea that every developer in the Delaware Valley had going back probably before we created the USA.

    Mare of Easttown is a fantastic series. So well written, produced and directed. I did not see that ending coming! 😳 I’m usually able to predict endings but I actually gasped when Mare figured it out. 😲 All of the actors, as well as the writer, producers, & director deserve to win Emmy awards!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🏆

    They did a skit called Revolutionary War that was about the Eagles vs Patriots Super Bowl. Tina Fey, who's from the Philly area, did a hilarious Philly accent.

    @@constituenta5293 no, but my father passed away last Tuesday. He had pulmonary fibrosis. He was 72. I lost my father and my best friend.

    @@mattparkent440 I am sorry for your loss. I lost my father in 2004 and my husband in 2009. My husband was definitely my best friend. He was a few weeks shy of 60. Grief counselling through the Stephen Ministry at the Episcopal Church was very helpful, but my world was still completely turned upside down. I don't know if youtube will help much, but I wish you well on this difficult journey.

    I was born and raised on the Delaware Valley accent- can tell you it’s “DOOR-der” and “WOOD-er” (daughter & water). The Asian cop is the only one who’s got it right. Yous def got the wawa hoagie right, I’ll give you that.
