They also throw in random Wawa and cheesesteak references that aren't even relevant to the story, they just put them in there to make it more "authentically Pennsylvanian"

A block of homes in Wissinoming, Philly partially collapsed into the crick running under the whole street. I’m in S. Jersey now & get a pool in my basement when it rains. My friend’s mom in Wilmington has the same problem. Building on crick was a bad idea that every developer in the Delaware Valley had going back probably before we created the USA.

It's really weird that no one learned to weatherproof their basements. Reminds me of Louisiana's lack of flood and hurricane construction. Isn't it cheaper to do it right the first time?

I finally got around to seeing the series and I instead of feeling the father's anguish I got Beck superimposed on the scene and started laughing. Thanks SNL for pushing me to the series.

Mare of Easttown is a fantastic series. So well written, produced and directed. I did not see that ending coming! 😳 I’m usually able to predict endings but I actually gasped when Mare figured it out. 😲 All of the actors, as well as the writer, producers, & director deserve to win Emmy awards!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🏆

As someone from rural Pennsylvania, this is accurate, especially the part where everyone is related and would love to see this as an actual film

The first time someone told me I had a Philly accent I became offended and said I'm from here (the US). Then they asked me to say Water and I said Wuddur.

I finally watched Mare of Easttown and the entire time this sketch was on my mind. 😂

As someone who watches A LOT of dramas like this, this sketch is absolutely hilarious.

The fact they literally said "WaWa" and "Hoagies" is the best thing I think I've ever heard on television. East Coasters will understand.

I am West Philly born and raised. Wawa and Hoagies are not an East coast thing. That is a Philly and Delco thing. Wawas over the past 5 -7 years have started moving down the East Cost.

Right now I’m on my jawn typing a jawn in reply to a jawn on the jawn. The word hasn’t been used in the show they’re parodying, but they exaggerated everything they might as well have tossed in a jawn, that whole board with all the connections had a photo of Philadelphia Cream Cheese & that’s never been made here. 😂

@@mattparkent440 I am sorry for your loss. I lost my father in 2004 and my husband in 2009. My husband was definitely my best friend. He was a few weeks shy of 60. Grief counselling through the Stephen Ministry at the Episcopal Church was very helpful, but my world was still completely turned upside down. I don't know if youtube will help much, but I wish you well on this difficult journey.

I was born and raised on the Delaware Valley accent- can tell you it’s “DOOR-der” and “WOOD-er” (daughter & water). The Asian cop is the only one who’s got it right. Yous def got the wawa hoagie right, I’ll give you that.
