Take the Bait only goads the attacking creatures, not all of their creatures

​@@Natedogg2 I think you're trying to be clever about the difference between "attack" and "attacking" but got it mixed up. Any attacking creature would be goaded, including tokens created during combat and put into play tapped and attacking because the card does not stipulate that the creatures needed to have attacked this turn. In other words, you need to attack to get attack triggers like drawing a card when a creature attacks or paying 2 for propaganda. But going straight into play attacking will miss the draw and get around the Propaganda tax, however they are still attacking. TL;DR: All creatures that attack are attacking, but not all attacking creatures had to attack.

When Arin “recited” Roaming Throne’s text from memory, the “Nailed it.” flavor text was absolute gold. Editor deserves an award for that one.

My friends gifted me a commander precon for my birthday, this is my first approach with Magic but this channel makes me wish I had been in the community for years! I mean, that'd be basicaly an "all out vampire" set We were waaaay too deep into spoiler season, when I realised, that it's in Karlov Mansion though

Yo this intro was soo fire!!🔥 "Youre tellin me this is a commander game?" "It ain't Dan-Dan.. "😂

That opening skit was fantastic. The way that Katie Cantrip stops mid-take and goes "Wait did I say Markov or Karlov?", the "Crime Doesn't Pay (the 1)" license plate frame on the Tesla, the cameo appearances from Joe, Crim, and Ashlen, the giant board of suspects, all of the puns and references within the dialogue itself... Even the little details, like a CSI worker slipping a copy of Hard Evidence into an evidence bag. You could tell that so much thought and effort was put into all of it.

So exciting that Arin got to not only actually do things in a game, but actually win! Definitely one of the best episodes. Great job everyone!

Crim’s Summoning sickness was hilarious. As was basically the entire intro. 😂

Arin's perfect recall recitation of the rules text right after was the perfect cherry on top.

I've never played MTG yet YT recommended a variety of commander channels - so far this one has been the easiest to follow and most entertaining! Not only showing many cards played in full detail, but the exact version (printing) is icing on the top, great editing... that intro was unexpected and incredible! The license plate holder was so cool!

The up in the production is the best thing. The atmosphere puts the game in a really good mood. And the intro was incredible. Well done everyone!!!

Mirko having good synergy with clones is a wonderful bit of flavor for Dimir. His current story is that he’s looking for what happened to Lazav and the upper echelons of House Dimir, so I like to think he’s just calling every shapeshifter he knows.

@@Xavier-nk8xnThis particular bit of lore is from a booklet in Mirko’s precon, but in general, they release short stories with each set on the official website. I tried to link it and KZread didn’t like it, but you can Google ‘’Mtg story’’ and it’s the first result. Admittedly, I know very little about the lore myself, I just happened to know this one. Most of the time I just get a general idea of what’s going on from the cards, but I don’t dig very deep.

​@@Xavier-nk8xnif you want recent stories, they are not hard to find at the Wizards site. For the older stories, i would recomend watching some of the lore channels in KZread... aether hub and Magic Arcanum comes to mind but probably there are others.

The intro was amazing , the game was fantastic. It was so nice seeing Arin have a strong showing especially after the whole “Narset” incident.

Liked for the intro alone, haven't even made it past the credits, outstanding work gentlemen.

The cinematic intro was glorious, everyone who helped work on that should be proud. More of these please

The amount of love, and attention to detail put into that intro is why I love this channel so much. 10/10 never stop making these.

I thought LCI was my favorite Game Knights episode, but when I say the quality of this episode was UNMATCHED, the intro, the game, the ENDING were truly remarkable. Bravo to all at The Command Zone. Tesya did not die in vain.

That intro was the best intro to date guys on this channel probably on any channel. I loved seeing the cameos from other KZreadrs. Great and wild game.

I can appreciate the Spanish J sound in Voja, personally I've always done the Scandinavian Y sound of J for a Vo-yuh pronounciation.

The hilarious thing is that at 55:10 when Jimmy is asking Emily to counterspell it, she actually had a spellskite. So that means, she could have actually saved Jimmy lol. Pretty sure it got overlooked because of the chaos but if she chose to let it happen because she was salty over the attempted boardwipe that just makes it funnier.

The production value of this episode went insanely high! Intro skit was amazing, gameplay was top notch too. Wonder if Jimmy thought about the line where after getting his bounce spell countered, he could've sacrificed his Mocking Doppleganger(which was Pride of the Hull Clade atm) in order to return it with Mirko at the end step as copy of Arin's commander. Perhaps that line was exactly why Arin chose the Altar of Dementia to get Rec't.

Best. Episode. Ever! The production level was unreal. Weird ruling question I'm hoping to clear as I want to build a Teysa, Opulent Oligarch deck. Annoited Procession seems to work on helping create two spirits instead of one. How come though? I thought generally "can't" usually beats "can", and Teysa say only once each turn

Teysa says she can only trigger once each turn, meaning even if you sacrifice more clues she would not create spirits. While Anointed Procession doubles the amount of tokens from the trigger. if that makes sense.

The time and effort put into the intro, the advertisements, and the in-game animations for some of the cards are the reasons why I love this channel. I started playing Magic a little over two years ago and I wouldn't have been nearly as invested in to if it wasn't for you. Thank you for another piece of quality content. 😁

My god, this might be my favorite episode of Game Knights by far! The intro was FANTASTIC, so perfect and so well done, but also with the return of Arin, the absolute MADNESS of the game, so goooood!

Loved the intro especially the reference to my favorite strat, mill. I almost groaned at some of the jokes and puns. Well done.

I did not expect the Katie cameo. The fact that she didnt burst out laughing was amazing

arin is legitimately so hilarious - i’ve loved seeing him on more and more commander shows lately because he’s always so fun at the table. this game was no exception!! side note - absolutely love the set and lighting for this episode!

that intro quip ended up making sense as the killer ended up indeed being a miller (Voja equipped with Sword of Body and Mind) and even makes sense narrativelly as Erin both destroyed the Altar of Dementia and killed Jimmy (the only player actually playing somewhat mill) first, painting this picture that he hates mill and would never kill someone with it, diverting the suspicion. Also not playing blue nor black also serves as this misdirection tactic as "no one would mill in Naya" nonsense analysis aside, great video!

Arin is absolutely hilarious. I've been watching him way longer than I've been playing Magic, and it's great to see how his sense of humor works in this style of video. That was a great game of commander with some super fun decks. I'm bummed we didn't get to see Rachel's deck pop off because her commander seems super fun to build around, but that's just how it goes sometimes. Loved this video and I can't wait to see what else these folks do with this release.

NGL, was kinda hoping the conclusion would be Arin pulling out a last minute "damage can't be prevented" effect to win with Commander damage through the Teferi's Protection, would have been an epic rules moment. For those who don't know: Teferi's Protection prevents damage and makes it so your life total can't change, but in MTG "can't" effects always trump "can" effects, so if the player attacking the person under TP has an effect active that makes it so that damage _can't_ be prevented then the damage will still be dealt, it won't appear to do anything in most cases as the person under TP can't have their life total change but things like Commander damage and Poison counters will still accumulate in this situation.

It gives you protection from everything so you take no damage. If it didn't give you protection and only stated that your life total can't change, you would be right.
