I find this darkly humorous. He knows precisely what he is doing. So what if he looks like the cat that ate the canary? The point is he is nestled back in the heart of Russia in his little cabin, and with his secure position in the government. He is explaining polonium because he can. Offering the interviewer a cup of tea at the end was an especially bold / funny thing to do. Though maybe not so funny if you look at those pictures of Litvinenko suffering in hospital...

Raize Abravenel That the FSB lie? I thought it was common knowledge. Look at Ryazan, 1999 bombing attempt. They KNEW about what happened, and covered it up from the people. Also, the KGB did this kind of "shifting the blame" or passing the blame very often. And it works. Today America and Britain are not seen in a very good light. So the easy thing to do is commit a crime on foreign soil and blame their government for trying to Blame YOU. But this Lugovoy bastard is lying through his teeth.

Vladislavs Sirins I'm not getting right into this but we both know how this type of stuff works OK... our government knew all along what was happening. It would have been some under the table type deal and it's just that simple... now with the 1 we had the other day is 100% our UK government trying to set up the Russian side to no doubt try and start a war or something like that. As if Russia just came over to the UK and did this with out our knowledge is clessed as an act of war.... so let's be real for a bit... war is a business a very good business with a well established business plan.
