You're assuming she raised her child. Remember she lived with her parents and sibling(s) and she didn't have a job. It's my understanding her parents took care of the child. And how ironic that she's been clean AFTER son's death. How about getting sober before his death so she could keep custody? Smh.

I agree she wasnt the one over exercising the kid of 6 years old. I cant believe how long he was required to be on that treadmill, he shouldnt be on there more than 4 or 5 minutes max, he is too young. the father seems like a controlling selfish person. I also believe he was so mad at her for reporting him that he took it out on that poor child. oh yes, he also tried to control her as well with manipulation. Now his lawyer is trying to make her look bad, she never hurt that child. Then if she is late he gets really mad, he also has anger issues.

They sure DID mention "Johns Hopkins Teaching".....They left out : after high school the first semester at Wesleyan arrested for assault and destruction of property, got his bachelors online ( maybe daddy pulled him from school), before signing up for Urban Teachers Certificate program in 2017 baltimore ( he was not EMPLOYED by them, it was a graduate program he was in residency, THAT didn't last long, perhaps because he had half a dozen criminal charges against him in Baltimore ! Then it was a hopscotch trip of short term jobs, Florida etc, until he landed at his Mothers Real estate company in NJ) I HATE that they try and sanitize his history using Johns Hopkins !! And the jury will hear NONE of it ! I'm so glad they have him on that video.

The part where he put him back on the treadmill after speeding it up, and the child he fell, Cory seemed confident like he did this many times, which is sad. What else I noticed, is how little exercise dad did while the kid was running and then came over to him specifically to speed up the tread mill. Just FYI.

This reminds me so much of Harmony Montgomery case. Dad didn’t come into the children’s lives until they were 4-5, never bonded with them and only took custody because they hated the mothers so much. And like this animal, beat the kid to death. Crazy to me that judges will just hand over children to parents that have been absent for their whole lives. If he had nothing to do with him the first 5 years of his life, what makes the courts think they he all a sudden wants to now? Unreal 🙄

This defence lawyer is gross. A little boy is dead, as a result of his client’s actions. Everything else he is talking about is, in my opinion, irrelevant, and meant only to embarrass and smear a grieving mom. She did very well - admitting she made mistakes, but still tried very hard to get her son help, while dealing with an obviously narcissistic/controlling ex.
