The Police inspector : he is in the lane where the two snoops standing on the beer barrels, on the carriage with the Clydesdales horse and looking in the window, He is Australian born CHARLES "BUD" TINGWELL: 1923-2009: A great actor and a great human being. In 1941 volunteered for overseas war service with the Royal Australian Air Force : Being put under British Commonwealth Air Training Plan: In 1944 he was promoted to Fligh Lieutenant: after being sent home to Australia: Charles moved to England as he had got the acting bug, hence this film. After much success he returned to his homeland Australian & continued acting: died age 86: In 2009 Charles was given a State Funeral at St Paul's Anglican Cathedral Melbourne Victora. RIP

The clip with the police car coming across the bridge is Denham village bucks I went to school there in the late 1950s -1960s a beautiful village famous for being in lots of films 🎥

Charles Tingwell was in Emergency ward ten on television

Denham and Denham village hold great memories for me it’s were I when to school and use to walk through the village every school day . This was in the late 1950s and early 1960s two of the schools have now gone but the one in Cheapside lane is still there, very happy memories that will stay with me all ways

Hey, Robert... LIFE was nice then: us kids:: to us mum and dad told us what to do and what NOT TO DO: We had boundaries and all the other children were taught also the same boundaries: LIFE WAS SO SIMPLE : I GREW UP PLAYING WITH PINE CONES THAT HAD FALLEN OFF THE PINE , TREE, I USED MY IMAGINATION WHAT TO DO WITH THEM ? .... I HAD TO THINK: THEN SPENT HOURS WITH THE OLD BILLY CART MADE BY MY OLDER BROTHER OUT OF SCRAP: THE BLESSED THING ALWAYS SEEMED TO NEED SOME TYPE OF REPAIR: DUE TO OVER ABUSE !!! poor thing! THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK: SUNDAY AFTERNOONS ..WOW!!! AFTER CHURCH QUICKLY GOT OUT OF OUR SUNDAY BEST STIFF CLOTHES, AND PUT ON THE OLD CLOTHES, THEN,SPENT HOURS RUMMAGING THROUGH THE LOCAL TIP: ALWAYS, ALWAYS BROUGHT SOMETHING HOME: ANYTHING, YOU NEEDED TO BRING HOME A TROPHY FOR ALL THE HOURS SPENT FORAGING !! GOD BLESS ALL THOSE OF THIS ERA: WE WERE REALLY GOOD KIDS !!
