It's good to see Ian the plasterer again. I'm re watching the episodes. Rest easy and in peace Ian.
I love how you named bedrooms to reflect the history of them, but is it time to reflect history created since you moved in? To honor your lovely mother's hard work, I propose 🌻 "ISOBEL'S GARDEN" 🌹. Perhaps a small sign there or on the gate to the back?? I can see you planning a picnic for the unveiling!!! 💟

💐Brilliant idea. Her beautiful 🌸Mummy🌸 deserves a pretty plaque for her tender loving work in rebuilding Chateau's gardens (starting in mid-2000s?). I propose: 🌸Le Jardin d'Isabelle🌸 Est. 20?? A tiny tribute dedicated to dearest Isabelle's lush and verdant garden. A peaceful respite bursting full of life and laughter. All the seeds (and souls) sown on these hallow grounds, grow richly with her warmth, love, joy, and gratitude! Her vivacious spirit and labor blesses all that she touches. Isabelle's absolutely outstanding contribution and care bring refreshing vitality to all present and future inhabitants and guests. ~~~~~~~~ ⛲ ps In future, once it is installed, they should also mount a plaque (& blessing) near the fountain her 🌼father🌼 bought for LaLande too.

One of the MANY things I enjoy so much about your videos is the loving, respectful and nurturing relationship between Stephanie and her sweet mother!
You should consider obtaining Guinea fowl (growing up, we always called them Guinea hens). They are relatively low maintenance, and in the summertime, Guinea hens will forage all of their food. Also, they reportedly eat up to 4000 ticks a day! Within a couple of weeks, Guinea fowl can totally decimate a tick population and help prevent lyme disease.

Very true, but you have to be prepared for the noise and mess. They're a little harder to deal with than chickens and peacocks (I have a friend who has raised all three.) Their screech is unpleasant and constant, and they're good fliers, so they poop wherever they happen to be.

Mummy is such a gardener and also knows so much about so many things around the outside. She is like a hard-working woman on a huge country farm only this is a Chateau with all the same needs though, She is a gem and know she is enjoying every minute. Selmer is a very valuable and honest person and really a special part of this Chateau life and family. You are all a family really. Having fun and working hard together.
Mummy is the best, her spirit is unparalleled
Rose geranium essential oil, just a drop applied to the outside of one's shoes, is a natural tick repellant, especially when walking through the woods.
Too good to watch only once ! Yes you can see the magical sparkle in the rain especially near the chapel. Pure magic xx

I think a nice long old narrow piece of wood would make a great Shelf over your kitchen hearth.
If we had charity shops like there in the US where I live I would be there all the time! I can't believe how many plates they have! Your mummy is absolutely hilarious!! She brings so much joy!!
When I was a child , we'd go over to my great great grandma Gray's house to pick gooseberries. My mom made pies & jelly out of them. Great memories and fun.

Dear Stephanie, I learn so much from your mommy’s garden, i would love it if she could spend time teaching us what to do and what NOT to do in an outdoor garden. So thankful to hear you are taking precautions against ticks. You are the most fashionable body armor wearer ever, Stephanie! My son has been ill with Lyme disease for 9 years from a tick bite. I love your beautiful woods, but do want you to be aware so happy to see your care.
I would be at the Chateau right now. I was coming for the photo shoot and to volunteer. So miss not being there. So happy you are able to move forward with all the help of so many!!!
Your garden is looking wonderful and your roses are stunning. My pop is 102 and still works in his garden every day. It makes him so happy. 😊
Michael looked tired like he was not feeling well. He needed a nice warm blanket and a nap to recharge his battery.
So enjoyable seeing how the garden is progressing.

Love it when you vlog charity shopping!!
The light in the rain in your garden was amazing. There was such emotion in it. For a moment as the camera swept over the chapel and a diffuse sun appeared amongst the grey there was such a tenderness in the sun that it hit me how the mother who lost her 5 year old son must have felt. The great sadness that caused her to build the chapel and turn grief into beauty and faith. The rainbow ending in your woods is symbolic. You are indeed digging up the pot of gold... I hope that one day I shall have the chance to pray in your chapel...
What a beautiful garden that mummy is working on with help of a gardener now, Selmar building more beds, more arches from the Ian’s, Mary Poppins too. Selmar is a Jack of all trades, such a help to Stephanie. Will def miss Antoine, his mama, and the elusive Nik. It’s so lovely to see Michael back at the Château.
