Very close. The actual task was for Grian to spawn a wither, for Etho to spawn a warden, and to make them fight in a public place

You perfectly captured that LOOK that Etho and Grian did when Mumbo gave them his guess ... this was such a great little exchange, and this might be my favorite depiction of it I've seen yet!

I honestly loved the expressiveness of this one. Etho and Grian being terrified by their task, and Mumbo being cheerful at the beginning, then getting dragged down into the terror with the rest of em. All Imma say is that the sheer difference between Mumbo and Grian’s expressions at 0:01 was great

Mumbo’s mustache is absolutely glorious, I love everyone’s designs And also the “I press shift with my thumb” video was HILARIOUS

I mean, with how Grian and Etho was building it up to be a hum dinger, I'd be surprised if he DIDN'T think it was something like the wither.

Plus the previous forced rerolls (gem and bdubs) made it seem like the next one would probably be wither related. I saw a lot of people predicting it to be beating the wither.

this was genuinly so funny when they both turned to look at eachother in silence and i know for a fact they both started sweating really hard

This is amazing. I love how Mumbo starts sweating when he realizes that he is in far over his head on this one.

this is probably one of my most favorite art styles ive seen in animatics. most of them are crudely drawn or cartoonish but theres something refreshing about seeing a more realistic animatic. saying that 0:57 oh god what is that arm grian.

well yeah, animatics arent typically rich in detail unless youre specifically planning for the animatic itself to be the finished product, rather than it being the rough draft of an animation. not sure what about this art style screaks realism though

I almost spit water all over my computer monitor when both etho and grian looked at each other after mumbo made his first guess...that was even funnier in animation than it was in the actual thing.

I had to come back and watch this again...still funny!

Love it! The characters are so exprissive and synamic, and the depictions of the characters look so natural. The body language is also just fantastic! I really like how the only times we actually see Mumbo's mouth is at 0:00 when he greets Grian, and at 1:26 when he bursts out laughing. It's like his mustache obfuscates his mouth unitl he gets those really big movements, such as from laughing. I really like the body language between Etho and Grian. When they start to bounce off each other and lean off each other's shoulders, it really looks like they are a tight duo. Also, the long stare and silence between Etho and Grain really emphasizes the tension of that scene. Awesome! Keep up the great work! Pleeeease make more!

Funnily enough, if Mumbo had guessed Grian’s task correctly, he’d have successfully dodged both his second and third deaths. Little did the mustache man know that the rest of his season relied on those two guesses

Man, the level of expressiveness that is near-unanimously shared around these Life Series animatics fills me with joy. Say whatever you will but ya'll L.S. fan animators are really talented at drawing humans! Also I was expecting it to get a bit grand and epic when Grian delivered that line *0:56* That genuinely feels like something out of an adventure fantasy. Amazing scene, amazing re-imagination, great stuff all throughout.

I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, (It looks like it was) but I like how when Mumbo was guessing their tasks he was below them, in the actual video he was one block below them and if it was intentional that is a nice detail, if not what a cool coincidence! Also I love you style of drawing! Pls make more Life/Hermitcraft animations!
