Manila is having a major makeover now, rehabilitating its public parks and heritage sites, building condominiums for the poor ,homeless and for those living in shanties, making more green spaces, renovating its zoo, building a modern hospital, putting up fountains, provides free modern stalls for ambulant vendors, doing major rehab and clean-up on its rivers, renovating its underpasses, initiating a program to make manila the city of lights, rehab of manila bay and putting water purifiers for it to be safe for swimming again and many more!!

I've been to Mumbai many times & Manila is far better when it comes to infrastructures & cleanliness. However they have the new big airport better than NAIA. Still there are other unique identities of Mumbai or India as a whole such as being famous of amazing palaces.

Mumbai and Manila are two different cities! But I agree that Manila is more advanced in terms of infrastracture and urban planning. I can say it is very American and Spanish, while Mumbai is very British in infrastructure and urban planning. Mumbai will be much better if its streets are cleaner and more organized. It's not about economy. It's about urban planning and I think Manila wins in terms of that. I like the grid pattern of Metro Manila.

Mumbai is like Manila capital... Mumbai is more on businesses busy roads.. Capital Manila is new tourist attractions in Philippines, Slums are almost done in Manila, no more dirty streets... Many tourists will be surprised when they're visiting capital Manila... A slums to biodiversity, a green city of Manila...... That's why many Indians here...

@@daspartha2994 half of the slums are being transferred to free housing and the half is delayed because of covid, In fact they have relocation or free housing for the government already..but in terms of cleanliness in manila bay and rivers and streets in Manila are cleaned already and continues of cleaning with newest installed water sewerage system and pumping stations located in Manila bay... I have no idea where are you located in Manila to say that Manila is still dirty?

@@momentousmanav Dude. Mumbai is lucky it's historical infrastructures mostly were preserved..it was spared by WWII. Manila on the other hand is the second most destroyed city in the world during WWII next to Stalingrad. If you want to know the gist of what I am saying you can look it up online "Battle of Manila." But as for INFRASTRUCTURES and DEVELOPMENT no offense but Philippines is way better, not because the skyline and skycrapers are more in Philippines than Mumbai but because of the discipline of the citizens and the change of government in the country. All citizens are working hard to make the country progressive.

Manila really improving this past 5 years, from rehabilitation, reclamation, urbanization, road widinning, demolishing of informal settlers, constructing underground subway and many more.

This 5 years ago of Metro Manila shows its decades ahead of Mumbai that has a classical laid back vibe as compared to a very modern & eccentric Manila.

I LOVEEEEE INDIA’S food specially the chicken masalah damn! What I really dont like is the street food in India and how they prepare it! I guess the dirt is adding the flavor. NOW this makes me proud as a Filipino because India is a super power country yet Philippines is much more modern.

Manila wins, Manila is so clean compared to Mumbai, when i went there on Dec 2019 it was unbelievably cleaner than Mumbai. I am proud to be a filipino
