Mumbai Pune Expressway Missing Link Project | Maharashtra's Longest Tunnel | January 2024 Update
In this video I have shared the Missing Link Project update on Mumbai Pune Expressway.
The Mumbai Pune Expressway is presently of 6-lane cement concrete pavement with 2.5m wide paved shoulder on both sides having a length of 94 kms.
Mumbai Pune Expressway's 13.3 km Missing Link project by MSRDC is an under construction 8 lane access-controlled highway with a route alignment connecting Khopoli to Kusgaon.
The link with a string of viaducts, tunnels and bridges aims to bypass Khandala Ghat's hairpin turns which are prone to landslides, reduce distance by 6 km, reduce travel time by 25 minutes, and provide a straighter route.

Looking at viaduct progress it might open in June 2025. The cabling part takes huge time and given it's geography it's not easy task.
Thank you for the update! The biggest problem with these expressways is that they end several kilometers outside the city limits. They must be extended to the heart of the city to make them really effective. Because it takes 60-90 minutes to get to the E way, after which the significance of the expressway is lost. Door to door travel time remains high.

Building wider lanes does not solve traffic, in fact building wider lanes INCREASES traffic. We need better public transportation especially buses

@@worldwide6626 Are you a kid, who just watched the animation where they showed if lanes will be increased then even more people will come to the road than going by train or bus?? His concern was about expressways ending far outside the city without a proper connection to the main city, one have to drive through entire city to enter the main area or the market area. Clearly you have never been to an expressway.

Excellent Video With Great Updates! Work is going on at a very good pace. I don't think Jan 2025 will be possible, because of that cable stay bridge. It is very difficult and hard to work in such terrain, especially during the rainy season. I have seen how much time was taken for the recently opened Zuari Bridge. Thanks For The Video Sir 🎉

Bridge ka kam bahaut slow hai. Last 3 months looks the same. Maybe AFCONS is directing more resources to Bullet train project.

Great infrastructure project, but alongside we need to educate the public on how to safely and properly operate motor vehicles at high speeds. Suddenly, people who have never exceeded 20 kmph on the highly congested roads of Sadashiv Peth or VileParle are driving at ungodly speeds and endangering themselves and others. That, to me, is a very big missing link.

Missing link should be given for heavy vehicles exclusively.small passenger cars can easily go through existing xpressway. That way project cost can be recovered fast with higher toll from heavy vehicles.
Once this missing link will be completed how long will it take to travel by car from chandani chowk to dadarTT?

Not s single project in Mumbai or in Maharashtra is finishing according to the timeline. Corruption and vested interests of the dynasts are the main cause for these delays. They are demolishing bridges in Mumbai but no signs of completion of the ones under construction. No accountability from the corrupt BMC creating traffic chaos in the city. Shame
