Virar alibaug multimodal corridor and Delhi Mumbai expressway will be connected to MTHL to sewri worli elevated corridor which will be connected to coastal road near BWSL. Can go south to marine drive through coastal road and north along BWSL then Versova Bandra Sea link and Mumbai coastal road north till Dahisar. From Dahisar new coastal road till Virar (earlier was Versova Virar Sea link but now it will be Dahisar to Virar) and then connected again to Virar Alibaug Multimodal corridor. So full expressway ring road around Mumbai consisting of tunnels, coastal roads, sea bridges and expressways. Expect all to be done by 2030 except the Dahisar Virar coastal road that could be delayed or scrapped.

Minus the bamboo scaffoldings shabbily and tackily laid out everywhere in 3:13 yes it does resemble Japan Korea or China. In these countries scaffoldings are laid out neatly and in a mechanized manner.

This road looks to be really world class standards. However, the speed limits should be slightly higher. Furthermore, it is allowing only cars, and while cops have mentioned that bicycles are not allowed, there were no signs posted on the Marine Drive entry, and that they should not be penalizing bicyclists under the Motor Vehicles Act.

Uddhav played his part and started ground work and finally Shinde inaugurated. You can congratualte uddhav for not being spoil sport here like he did for bullet train, metro etc at most

That's irrelevant because it was a different time and China made a lot of mistakes while getting there. The environment was compromised and there is still a huge level of housing and property crisis in China. However what sets India apart is that India will not make those mistakes. Everything will eventually be on a path of sustainability in India and protection of the environment.

I think they needs to focus on public transport. Construction of roads will only increase vehicles and traffic. Improvement in public is the key to reduce traffic conjunction.

I partly agree but not focussing on road construction is like trying to clap with one hand. The increase in number of vehicles is unstoppable and inevitable, it's human psychology, people will never stop buying vehicles as it's also more of a status symbol, earlier it used to be horses and now it's bikes and cars. The automotive sector is going to sky rocket in India. So there needs to be a combined initiative, also instead of roads on the surface, tunnels can be built. The idea of building flyovers or brigdes also should be done with as they take a lot of space and have several maintenance issues so they should be avoided unless absolutely necessary and all efforts and technology should be used to build underground infrastructure.

Yes, as per my calculations, today 35 km of highways are being constructed per day, in the previous Government's time (Congress era) it was 9-10 km per day. So now it's quite possible to take that figure to 55 km per day which will ultimately help reach that goal of 100,000 km at the end of 5 years.

Yes I have noticed that but unfortunately there are many from our own country who don't want India to develop because of some selfish reason or way to extract revenge, just because their person or organisation was not given the project or they were not allowed to manage it. Also many from our own country lack vision or confidence to be something great, they make fun of those who set high targets or benchmarks. That's why it is so important for leaders like Narendra Modi to be in power for a very long time from here on, only then we can accelerate progress, otherwise everything will come back to a halt and get delayed as it always did post independence. Simple things like pot hole free roads could have been constructed 30-40 years ago, but the previous governments didnt do that, they kept making them over and over again giving absurd reasons, inflating annual expenditure. They never even bothered about the age old sewage lines which were built by the British, it's only in recent years that sewage lines started to be upgraded, that's the reason why Mumbai used to be flooded so much even with little rain in the past. Non educated people never understood this and educated ones wanted to apply to US universities and settle in the US, so basically Mumbai was left with ignorant people who just voted on the basis of emotion or which politician entertains the most. This was the reality. Where all that money went is a huge mystery.

Yes, the problem is that average people choose emotion over logical thinking during voting. While it’s okay to get emotional but it’s not okay to sacrifice progress and development for the sake of the same narrative that was set 40-50 years ago. People need to understand the fact that those who set regressive narratives have accumulated so much wealth over the course of their careers that their 7 generations don’t even have to worry about working again.

FYI I am not an outsider, we have been living in Mumbai since the time of my great grandparents, over 120 years. So before jumping to conclusions or calling me an outsider watch the full video and then comment. As far as the intricacies of politics is concerned, I have more information that anyone could ever imagine and based on my observations and collective analysis, I have made certain conclusions. The tragedy in Maharashtra is that many people succumb to regionalistic ideologies which keeps foreign investors away. A person like Elon Musk or Bill Gates wouldn’t want to be harassed with local issues which are a common sight in Maharashtra. There’s just too much emotion, less education and more drunken youth who stoop to entertaining ministers and their dialogues and it has been happening since decades. Over and over again, the same thing and because of that the people or the supporters have not progressed in life, they are stuck in the same issues of waiting for redevelopment or jobs or whatever little they can do to earn a decent living. So it’s time to stop maligning other communities for no reason. It’s time to help each other grow instead of pulling each others legs. Just look at the way leaders in Maharashtra politics have pulled each others legs or as a matter of look around you. So it’s high time to wake up and support people who get things done instead of delaying. Ahankari vohi log hote hai jo ek dusre ko tu outsider hai bolke dhamki dete hai. Yehi sab toh leke dubega sabko, aisa attitude rakhoge to khud ke log bhi tata bye bye Kar denge. That’s why it’s important to behave like a civilised person and treat everyone with respect, tu Gujarati, tu Marvadi, tu Bangali, Tu yeh tu voh , aise bolke khud 100 saal peeche jaate hoz.
