I lost my brother in hit and run..😢😢 Still fighting case in Court.. But you have to know that , only high profile cases are highlighted..and at least go through courts.. But thousands of other cases are going unnoticed, untried, and waiting for Justice.. Not only strict action , but also prompt enquiry by Police needed.. In almost of cases, police take bribe and dilute the case by not collecting evidence..

I can feel the pain and outrage in Banerjee’s voice. Great content specially reminding us of similar cases in recent times, hope to see the law taking its course and convict the perpetrators.

I live in USA for past 10 years. I came to India 2 months back to meet my family and friends. I was riding my bike and going home late at night when a Scorpio hit me. I was in a coma for 2 weeks. I still can't see from eye which hopefully will come back. It's not just rich brats. Life in India has lost its meaning. I'm very very sad we have come to this point.

Gets me thinking about the scale of protests the country witnessed after the brutal assault and murder of Nirbhaya. Makes me wonder if the criminals in that case were from rich and politically connected families, would the outcome have been different?

Weather or not the culprits will get punished is a totally different thing. What's important is the people of this courry were ALIVE back then to come to the streets to show their anger for such crimes, which would make the government take action. But in last ine decade slowly and systematically spirit of people for standing up for anything right was killed by the current regime either by diverting their attention, or misleading them, or ny threatening. Today the Indians are far away from thinking about any kind of serious protest movements no matter how badly they are effected. Look at NEET scam. It directly hit 20-25lakh missle class families. There should have been a massive protest nationwide. But it dint go to that level, which allowed the govt to brush it under the carpet

You're right Akash... " Peechhe se sacchai aake hit kar degi" These are cases where there is evidence, where you have witnesses, CCTV footage, etc. So many cases happen where luckily life is safe, but bones and body are not - these go unreported. I myself ended up with 3 broken ribs, badly gashed thighs and a twisted bike. This happened in 2017 - I was returning home late around 11.30pm when some drunk young brats were horsing around and one of them in a Tata Safari hit my bike from behind and sent me flying into a tree. The guy simply sped away... I was lucky to have survived. Unfortunately a lot of people don't. We really need stringent implementation of the existing laws to keep common folks like us safe.

NO. Our justice system is a joke. When rich has no fear of law. Poor and middle suffer. Be it corporate slavery - no minimum wage system ,exploitation, crime, accidents like this, etc. No matter whichever gov. comes it will all be same. The day Law gives strict punishment to rich people then only this all will stop. And corruption controlled

I also lost my grandfather in hit and run . But we didn't got justice till now because those culprits got away and the case was closed. You agree or not but it's true that India and the system is only for rich yaahan garibo and middle class ki zyada koi madad nahi karta 😢

These incidents of rich brats mostly come from the developed cities of our country. I had a dream of pursuing research studies in NISER / IISER of Pune , but after watching these type of justice for normal citizens I've decided that I'm not going anywhere leaving my state. Thank you Sir for raising this issue.

Phele bhi corrupt hi thi. India , pak and Bangladesh all have 1 thing is common - colonial judiciary which do not care about people and have crores of pending cases.

I stay pune, much near to the hit and drive case, we did write to the area corporator for the same but as you rightly say we don't count at all..we are commoners...and it's TWO INDIA with TWO PRIME MINISTERS after all but kudos to u Akash u are amazing, u are always a eye opener

Thanks to Deshbhakt for producing this video and bringing attention to the disparity between the wealthy and the underprivileged. It's disheartening to see our justice system fail those without political backing. How can we put an end to this? It's truly frustrating, and it seems that true justice would be to ensure accountability for all involved. If there is a more effective solution, please share.

After watching the developments, the feeling of helplessness seeps in. We the common people are insignificant in the current political ecosystem.

Everyone knows yet no one knows. Like the saying "It's more difficult to wake up the unsleep than the asleep"

It is really confusing to me why people with influential backgrounds have to act like that. I am not against someone enjoying their life with their own money, but the same can be done in a private setting without harming others. Why the need of going for a long drive after getting intoxicated. It just shows the belief they have that their family's money and political connections are able to sway the judiciary. India must learn a lesson from Switzerland, specially the lower courts😔😔

its just how it is. India is too diverse racially and culturally that people have not developed true empathy towards each other. and it is prevalent from the highest level to the lowest level of society. everyone disrespects people belonging to lower societal class than them. people think they are superior and try to take advantage of people who they consider lower status than them. and India should abolish calling random people "sir" and "madam". only teachers, professors or high government officials should be entitled to be called "sir" and "madam". this "sir" thing, which is unique to India further entrenches societal class barrier.
