Doug is a great spokesperson for the health benefits of sprouts. He has inspired people all over the world. I have been sprouting & eating sprouts for years. I have told many friends & family members about sprouts. I have posted pics on IG. I have given mason jars, screens & seeds as gifts. After all that, I have actually only influenced 2 people to be sprout enthusiasts. Oh well, I will continue to sprout for myself & enjoy the health benefits. :o)

Yeah.. six years later and many of the things you mentioned.. I’ve had only 3 people that took health seriously and started. Of course I will always continue once feeling the light living in me, I just can’t ignore the people in my area. Just about everyone is sick, unhealthy and unmotivated. It’s up to me to do something because no one else around here is. I keep trying because I look forward to seeing a healthier, more conscious world. God bless! 🙏

I started sprouting over 33 years ago and bought all of Steve Meyrowitz’s books and tools. He was so inspiring and funny! I’ve been eating mostly raw for the last 37 years. Now it’s exclusively raw. Sprouting has become a habit like brushing my teeth.😊 I’m subscribing ❤ and will check out more of your videos. 😊 Thanks for continuing to do his great work. It was such a sad loss, losing Steve in such a tragic accident.😢

I would love to get a reply to this post - Rhonda, great video! There’s a couple of tricks that are important; 1. It’s important with broccoli and especially broccoli sprouts to cook the sprouts before you eat them. Nobody does this! But they should. The sprouts contain the epi-specifier protein (ESP) which will cause the hydrolysis of the sprouts to go in a direction towards nitriles and away from sulforaphane. So to maximize the sulforaphane we have to cook the sprouts. I’m never really sure if I have over cooked the broccoli or the sprouts so I simply eat some myrosinase containing cruciferous vegetable like daikon skin or radish or spicy mustard etc. to replace the myrosinase. 2. There’s a great hack to triple the sulforaphane precursors; simply add a scant teaspoon of sugar to the rinse water on the third day and rinse as you normally would. I will try to dig up the study that was performed for this little hack. You’re basically adding stress and the plant response by building more of its defensive glucosinolate (sulforaphane precursor). Oh, also, make sure that your iodine levels are good before you tank up on broccoli sprouts. Some folks are sensitive or don’t have enough iodine and the sprouts can deplete/block the iodine according to some scientists.

Heck yeah, i do it all the time. Some stuff grows better and cleaner in that. So I grow lentils and mung beans in a coriander. I do cover them up with something breathable though and they first have to develp in the dark so I over them with a T-shirt too unless it's night. Chickpeas do not do well though in a coriander. Mine rot or smell bad fast, so maybe those don't love tons of air. You have to rinse chickpeas way more to maintain those if you grow them in coriander.

I followed Ann Wigmore and Victor Kouvinskis(sp?) in the 80s when I also lived at an ashram for 25 years. I totally believe in sprouts BUT I was too ungrounded because of my constitution being Vata. In Ayurveda people with my balance of the elements, meaning too much air and ether, are not supposed to eat foods that also have mostly those elements. (Air, ether, fire, water, earth are the 5 elements that we are made of.) I just got back from a cleansing retreat at Ann Wigmore in PR about 2 weeks ago. I was so imbalanced that I could hardly walk. I was totally ungrounded. The food was delicious but I’m vegan since 1968 so I naturally love it. Others did not. My point is that eating live foods is wonderful but in Chinese medicine also after menopause women are yin and this diet aggravates the yin and also if one is spleen deficient this diet is not good. That being said I love this way of eating but cannot do it 100%. I need more oil. I buy organic sprouted seed and nut butters. For decades I’ve been buying from Sproutman. Also if one is living in not such wholesome surroundings like tons of EMFs there is more stress. I’m going to ask a question in another comment. Hopefully you can answer my confusion. Though I could comment for forever. Thank you. Absolutely wonderful. ❤❤❤❤

Crazy idea here. Health itself is not short, nor is it quick. If you can't stand to give up 60 mins, what makes you think you even try and attempt to heal your body in 3, 6 or even 12 months? Everything requires patience, and you clearly don't care enough about your body to spend time educating yourself
