There js probably more guns flying about the US than there is people at this point. So the fact to own a gun you need to be mentally well makes no difference their easily illegally obtained buy mentally unwell people. But another 8 people kids included have been shot. But that's okay yous still need guns. i struggle to understand what safety concerns people in the US have that they need gun protection I'm sure here we have the same safety concerns but we survived them without a gun. I'm just lucky I can send my kids to play and to school and not need to worry about them getting shot at or being caught in the cross fire❤

Completely bogus. We hear aboutn things because we have nation wide news that report things instantly and they garner massive amounts of attention. In the grand scheme of population, time, etc, there is not nearly as much crime here as there is in third world countries. But go on

So vote for people who will get rid of the lax gun regulations. Praying obviously does not work. In fact, it makes things worse because it shows how people like you really don't care what the problem is. That encourages weapon manufacturers. JFC! Just stating that part of an American shopping list is weapons of mass destruction sounds insane. Why not pray for them to go away?

@john-si9yc in a country where guns arnt legal for anyone PERIOD.. for a criminal to get a hold of a gun in America would be way way way easier than where I'm from. By the time they even got a number for someone that knows someone to get the gun the impulse to commit the crime would have gone. Im from the UK so nobody is allowed to own a gun but im 35 and never been in a situation where a gun would be needed.. maybe the gun wasnt legally obtained. But it was damn more easy to obtain than it would be in any other country. Every safety issue that people in the US are allowed to use a gun in, we arnt. And we literally survive. The last 2 generations have had a major increase in mental health. Someone could be fine to day loose his mind tomorrow with now warning. If he wasnt able to easily obtain that gun today wouldnt have happened Please could someone explain why they are pro guns

I'll give it a try. See, way back when the English Army showed up at Lexington and Concord and tried to infringe the firearms rights of the people that lived there. The fighting in the American Revolution started a bit over a year before the Declaration of Independence when the English tried to infringe our firearms rights, that's the importance they put on their firearms rights. So, after the Revolution was won, they enumerated that right in the Bill of Rights. The rights in the Bill of Rights are there because they are both more important than other rights (we've lots of rights that aren't listed or, to use the fancy term, we've lots of rights that aren't enumerated) they are both more important than other rights and more prone to abuse by government, and these two facts go hand in hand. I find it surprising how little people know of the founding of the USA in other countries given that it was a big event in world history. It seems little is known of it other than it did happen. Sadly, increasingly, that is also true of people who were educated in the USA. My state is having a problem with violence. Here's the thing, though. Nearly every case of homicide ends with the reporter saying and the suspect has a long history of violent crime. Wouldn't it, in light of that, be far more helpful to keep those who've proved themselves capable of violence in prison rather than ever more firearms controls? Consider that, at low estimates, there are 80 million firearms owners in the USA and only 14k-16k homicides per year. The vast, VAST majority of us are not violent. We have prosecuting attorneys (called district attorneys in the USA) in big cities like New York and Los Angeles that are very derelict in that they are not keen to prosecute those who are violent, but watch how they do aggressively prosecute those who engage in defense of themselves or others like that US Marine on the New York City subway, and recently that bodega owner who was attacked (he might be facing 7 years in prison when he was trying to defend himself). If only those DAs would prosecute the wantonly violent with such vigor. All these mass events in the USA like Parkland and Uvalde, they ALL have histories that, decades ago, would've meant a permanent stay in a psychiatric hospital. Schools in the USA used to be open places, real community centers, now they are increasingly fenced off. That's the way it goes when you let bonkers people run free.

@@Legiticus That argument only works in the 18th century. Military weaponry has become so advanced that there is no way civilians would win. You can't shoot down a drone with a shotgun. All of the data on this points to the US being more dangerous with guns than less.

Only if the poor blacks how to recreation Center to Play. How they built one and shoot it up🙄 The usual suspects😂 I think this would be a wonderful opportunity to pause for a moment and give thanks for the many great contributions of the black community and their culture to our society. Their peaceful and generous nature makes them ideal neighbors, lending testimony to their exceptional family values and parenting skills unrivaled by any other culture. Their commitment to academic excellence enriches our schools and serves as an example to all who hope to achieve prominence as a people. Real estate values are fueled by the influx of African Americans into an area due to their caring and respectful nurturing of these communities, as an example of all they have achieved by their enthusiasm for self-improvement through hard work and a self-reliant can-do nature. Without their industrious and creative drive, we would be poorer as a nation.
