Tour this brand new unit for Hutchins Fire Rescue!
Adam gives the grand tour of this new Hutchins Fire Rescue unit right before it heads to Austin for the Texas EMS Conference.
This Type I 14 ft custom unit is mounted on an International CV-515 diesel chassis with a door forward layout and Onan generator.
The lighting at the front of this unit has a series of Whelen M Series lighting, Rota-Beam lights, and a Pioneer scene light. The front grille provides a tilt-forward function so the tilt hood is easily accessible. Mounted on the grille and front bumper include airhorns, a Q-siren, and Whelen speakers connected to a Carson siren.
The interior includes several safety features, including LifeDefender cabinets, 6 point harnesses, and a Technimount medical mount system.

    I have no idea what the budget is for Hutchins but our ambulances here in my city is $295,000 per unit and we have regular style Dodges. Of course a lot of that is paid for with Homeland security money to the federal fire grant program.
