If your QB is yelling "R1" all night and then running the A gap with the fullback. The defense is going to key in on that making the call completely exposed. If we call "R5" in the huddle and then my QB yells "R1" which is an actually play, my team would now be confused at the line of scrimmage. How do you protect your calls from year to year without the other teams in your league figuring them out? It seems that all you said was, "We use audibles."

You are correct. I was using R1 as an example, our system is not that easy and after 30plus years, no one has figured it out.

@@troybelanger974 our unique numbering system is the best way to describe it. No one else I have ever met numbers things like we do…when is say unique, it is.

When you consider that there are 8 holes to the right and 8 to the left in our system, that is not easy to understand. I coached against Coach Christmas for years and our kids tried what they could to pick up the system, never happened. I also had several other coaching buddies that tried and they failed as well
