Multimeter Basics Part 3 - Automotive battery and alternator voltage

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

The basics of using a multimeter to check a vehicle's battery and alternator for appropriate voltage.
Often, when a car starts "acting weird" it can be as simple as a battery starting to die or the alternator not keeping it topped up. Testing your car or truck's battery (and alternator) voltage is super simple.
Of course, you can use this knowledge to test voltage at your car's electronics, as well (to verify if it's receiving voltage as expected - for example, is it the brake light bulb or the brake light switch? Checking the voltage at the bulb with the pedal depressed will tell you!).
