👸FAMI🎸💥 really brought a new element to LOVEBITES. She moved fluidly with M&M and ASAMI while staying locked-in with HARUNA which is remarkable. Loving that she is more up in the mix and the flair she added with those taps, slaps and those bass runs were very tastefully done. She slayed it. This new look here is bad to the bone man. Those looks MIDORI gives while she is shredding it in that cloak just defined LOVEBITES return for me. 🤘🐺🤘

The music was written by Asami (lead vocal) and Mao, also known as the "Sixth Member" of Lovebites. He used to be the keyboard player for the heavy metal band "Lightbringer", together with Fuki (Unlucky Morpheus). He has co-written songs in the past and has been the co-arranger of many past Lovebites songs so I feel he had a large part in this song also. Also, the song has been mixed by the legendary Finnish engineer Mikko Karmila!

What a great Christmas present for all of us! Fami is totally adding a new dimension to their sound, which is steadily becoming more progressive. I like the double guitar solos done twice, just because they can. So glad that they are back, and better than ever.

The song is perfect. It's so big. Fami really shines on it too. And yes, Midori is RIPPED. lmao. This band is insanely great on so many levels.

I'm not a musician, but it seems that Lovebites, Bandmaid, Nemophila, (and other mostly all female Japanese bands), just keep taking the level of complexity to new heights each time they release a new song! They were all awesome two years ago and now they are way beyond that! And of course YOYOKA is doing the same! It would be cool, if all of those drummers also made it to the DrummerWorld Top 500 List!

I have been waiting for Lovebites 2.0 to hit the scene. I had high expectations. This exceeds my expectations. This is original Lovebites on steroids. Fami adds a whole new level because bass was never this intricate in any of their previous works. I also think Miyako & Midori have stepped up their games, especially Miyako. Haruna is amazing with all sorts of changes and fills. And this is the best I have ever heard Asami.

For me, Lovebites have always struck me as fantastic musicians who followed a "formulaic and very safe" song structure. This, however, is moving in so many directions and is so friggin EPIC. Man, I'm really looking forward to the new album. Asami doesn't feel "tacked on the song" anymore.. They are actually building up the song toward her strengths.

I don't think it's so much different from their previous material. Just a bit more refined. But it's far from their most complex song. Candidates for that title would be A Frozen Serenade, Dystopia Symphony, Burden of Time ...

This song feels like the logical next step following the Glory, Glory to the World EP. I'm beyond exited for the full album. As for a recommendation, IMO their magnum opus is A Frozen Serenade, there's a live version from their last concert on YT.

LOVEBITES KNOWS EPIC! You can clearly tell the influence that Fami has on their sound. Great addition. She gives them the flexibility to try new stuff and grow their sound. My all time favorite bass player is MISA of Band-Maid. The two best bass players in the metal world is Miyo of Asterism and Fami of Lovebites, imo. Billy Sheehan is crazy good but his bass tone is crap.

The tapping in the beginning is of course Fami. New members, new things. The song is good, I like it, but ... I think it is a bit too much production. Adding backing sounds and smearing out the sound. Not so easy to hear the individual instruments. And there might be retakes and layering. Of course, it is a MV, and several other Lovebites MV also have had a bit too much production for my taste. Personally love the LIVE stuff (even) more. They are of very high sound quality. There you understand exactly what each member do.

Judging by this song, I feel like the new album is going to be the opposite of Metallica's 'And Justice For All', with the bass cranked up. Lovebites has never had the bass line this turned up. I love Miho, but Fami is a beast.

I vote Midori as the "sexiest" guitarist on the planet. I have always referred to her as "A Warrior Princess", which fits her well. And her arms are surprisingly ripped (slowmo at 5:33)! Yay, Fami. Happy to see she is not trying to copy Miho's style bur being herself. Good for her, good for the band, and it treats Miho's legacy with respect. Fami is not Miho 2.0, Fami is Fami as it should be. That said, I do miss Miho's '100% into it' playing and headbanging. Whatever she does next, I hope that attitude will not fade, even if it was being a housewife 😁 We'll see what kind of role Fami will take on stage once she gets used to a live audience.

Miho was Miho....and I will never ever forget her contribution to Lovebites. The metal head and the leader of the pack was responsible for the kind-of of music Lovebites plays. She has left a legacy behind her with over 50 plus songs and her awesome compositions and lyrics. Wave, that's a good ear. Song's core is built on Harmonic minor and probably dominant 5th mode Phrygian major. Love the intro/outro. It's the first time I have heard Midori and or Miyako play something on guitar like that. Fami's bass on that reminds me a bit of an Iron Maiden song that opened with bass and vocals. Different but reminded me of it.

Huge fan, love the song, however I don't care for the KB sound much. What is making that KB rhythm sound, is it from the guitar or digitally placed ??? Get rid of the KB, turn up the guitar, the gain, and I would love it even more. Wish they would lean heavier. Awesome band, song, video, still love it !!

@@raybaby The thing is, they're so good at what they do (guitars, drums, bass - both Miho and Fami) that when they bring in things like keyboards and backing tracks, to me it sometimes sounds distracting. Oh well. The band obviously thinks it sounds better this way, and a lot of people do like it. 🙂

Nice, love the song. But only that's new to me. Is the bass. Love the tone but I hate any bass slap in any Metal songs. Don't care if it's her style. I hope the Album is heavier then this. Plus the Keyboard in background was louder in mix. Hit or miss I think. Love the guitar and drums mix more. Song feels like a build up to full Album. Cheers

Wow just a load of noise and she still can't sing ...Yes i have seen them in concert and they are so bad and vocals or out of tune ..got to be tone-deaf...They wasn't for me ...got the new Album to see if they improved but no they hadn't melted it in the ovan ...so bad ...i thought Nemophila was bad in concert...
