This is a wonderful idea! I’m looking forward to more designs for this system. I’m thinking to make notecard sets, assembly line fashion, and put them in die cut gift boxes to give as gifts or present as prizes for quilt guild events (endless possibilities, that!). The inks formulated for BetterPress work a charm, and I’ll be purchases all the new ones just released as well. Yana thank you!

These are so pretty and love that they come with the template to keep you on track. Thank you for a great tutorial showing how to do these.

I'm so glad you did a demo, I was wondering what this registration system was. Thank you so much. Love, love the foiled sentiment.

I love the idea of easily using multiple colors in a design. To add foil, I would try running the press plate through without any ink first. Then the plate should be easier to fit into the paper exactly where you want it to be foiled.

Beautiful cards, Yana. Really glad to have you back on YT creating videos & sharing your wonderful creativity & inspiration. I’m so excited about these new registration plates and can’t wait till they release more. I have been using the method @janastamper describes with success when I want to hotfoil & combine several betterpress plates on one card panel, and need to get things in a precise position. Running them through with no ink first creates an indentation that you can then easily slot the plate into when it comes to foiling. I find it is much more accurate than my attempts at eyeballing placement! I also made what I guess is my own version of these registration templates for my other press plates, by getting them positioned how I want on a piece of acetate, then tracing around the edges of the plates with a sharpie. I then take a picture with my phone, so I have an additional visual guide. It’s not as fancy as these ones spellbinders have created, of course, but I’ve found it works quite well.

I love that idea for making your own registration templates@@kathryns4754 ! That idea should also work for making Glimmer templates. It could make it easier to get glimmer plates aligned more where you want them. Another great share!

Yana -- this new Registration Press Plate system is so awesome and with adding the foiling makes it even more spectacular! Hi Yana! Gorgeous cards as always girl. I just did a video sharing the full card tutorial foiled with these same plates if you want to check it out. I explained how I did it if that helps. I have never tried foiling on BP paper so now I will try this as well. Love that we can exchange ideas. Love ya too!

If you want to use a dark cardstock you could use Lisa Horton crafts interference inks they are amazing and work on light or dark cardstock one pad inks different on black/white card it will show you on the top of the pad xx

I tried those at the show While they are indeed amazing (i loved the colors!), they don't give crips result when using with BetterPress

Thanks so much for this, Jana! I gave in last week and purchased the BetterPress system. Cannot wait to play with it, and this registration gives us even more options. Question: What do you use to clean your plates?

That is BetterPressing at whole another level!! I LOVE this look. I hope Spellbinders will continue to make more plates like this, please! Thank you for making two examples that are so impressive! @Yana Smakula I do have one question, the last plate I used with my betterpress was the PinkFresh Camellias and it was almost like the image pressed through to the other side of the paper, this was with all three shims. Am I do something wrong?

Maybe remove 1 or 2 shims, sounds like that was too much pressure

Ms. Yana, is it limited to an A2 4.25x5.5 size? Or will it work for a 5x7 cards?

It would work for other sizes too, just use a larger sheet of paper ❤️

So must you purchase special inks for this? Or can you use what you have?

yes and no. BetterPress system comes with a black ink pad. This will give you a good idea of how the impression should look like. You can of course use ink you already have, but some inks, especially those where the ink pad is very squishy might not work well. You'll always get the best results with specialty BetterPress ink, but you can use other inks, too.

Loved the foiled Thankyou, could you experiment with the heat proof embossable acetate as a template for the other pieces in a foiled piece?
