QUESTION OF THE DAY: Do you get tired of having to shake the dust out of your wet/dry filters? Does this dust separator perform to your standards? Are there any changes that you would make?

Absolutely Mark. Thanks for sharing this. I bought last summer the Dust Right Dust Separator and my vacuum gets almost at the point of clogging on the same amount of cut that you did on this video. I will try this tool for sure because it is not fun cleaning that filter every day that I use it.

I've been using the Dust Deputy for 12+ years. It's good, but needs many refinements. That's why I'm here fit this video. This looks like it's addressed the deputy's shortcomings. I've also been using vacuum bags in all my shop vacs for 12+ years. No turning back, I haven't had to replace a filter since. At first I thought they were expensive, but they're much cheaper than high quality filters, and your vacuums live longer without dust in the switches and motor. Great video. Thank you.

I was curious to know more about the Dust Deputy and glad to hear this one is an improved version.

So does it work with the Milwaukee hepa dust extractor? I saw you hooked up the hose from the Milwaukee but not the machine itself. I’m confused. Thanks

The Mullet easily hooks up to a typical size wet/dry vac. I used the hose from my Milwaukee hepa vac because its more of a premium hose compared to the Ridgid hose. It hooks up to my Milwaukee tools easier and its longer and more flexible. You can easily use the Ridgid hose with this setup.

Does the rigid work good for you because I bought it with a good deal in Home Depot over the holidays. Also I am having problems of what bags to buy?

I've been very happy with my Ridgid vacuums so far. The Milwaukee HEPA vac seen in this video is my favorite dust collector, but it's also much more expensive.

That was a “soft” tool review. You may want to dig a little deeper on it efficiency. How much suction do you lose by using it? The tee connection seems like a bad idea, a lot of flow would be lost in making that sharp turn in the tee. It also looks hard to clean out compared to other brands of separates. You fast forward throw that part.

Thanks, those are some good point for me to consider. I'll have to do a 5-6 minute follow up video.

@@MarkThomasBuilder why is there sawblades on the wall

Good question. My camera lens needs some brightness in the background, otherwise the picture gets grainy. I'm not sure the blades will stay once I build another addition around the wood wall.

I appreciate the honest feedback. I set out to make an 8 minute video featuring more dust collecting. Somehow the plan derailed in the edit. I'll try and pay better attention to the balance next time.
