Thank you for these videos, I was getting jealous because the UK had amazing driving test instructors who posted informative tutorials with live tests with other students etc and you are the closest creator to match that quality for Ireland! It would be nice if you could move the dash cam closer to the right hand side so people can better gauge the positioning as the camera will basically be the same POV as the driver. A pedal & speedometer camera would be nice too so we could see how you deal with speed bumps and roundabouts etc… But thank you for this content, by far you’re the one who goes the extra mile on KZread!

Hi guys, I just wanted to thank you so much for posting this video. I passed my test in Mulhuddart and your video really really helped me. I don't own a car and I don't live in the area (nor yours otherwise I would have been delighted to do lessons with you!), but I watched your video so many times that when parts of this route came up I felt better equipped to deal with it. You my man are a legend!!! THIS was my route today for my test and I passed first time! Absolutely loved your videos, your videos helped me pass and I'm so thankful!

Passed my test last week in mulhuddart, have a family member doing their test in a few weeks and I’m worried about the feedback I received. My understanding was we should keep a bit more left than centre when the roads are wide. I got 3 faults for position on the straight and it’s the opposite of what I thought he would say. He said “ your keeping too left, you should use the width of the road”. On roads that are wide I kept a little bit more left than centre, nowhere near the kerb. On narrow roads I kept centre of my lane.

Hi....watching you videos multiple times to get the tips for Mulhuddart test. Just a question, when you turned right, there was an turning right box on the floor and you said to don't care about the box. Do I need to stop inside the box or do I need to stop parallelly with the line from the road on the right side? Thanks a million

Hi..You just did the right signal at 14.07 to move but there is a road to the right as well at the same time.Is it ok to signal there?? Thanks

Yes it would of been fine and it probably would of been fine to not signal either

Something strange is happening in Mulhuddart, over the past 5/6 months the examiners have started giving faults for roundabout positioning on the extremely wide roundabouts, @2:05 is one of them. They give you a fault if you keep left or right on this roundabout because you are encouraging others to squeeze past. It feels so wrong to ask students to stay in the centre of the lane. I’ve talked to 4 instructors in the area this week about this and we’re all scratching our heads. Does Patrick have any info on this

That is completely against the RSA marking sheet guidelines. I’m assuming your an ADI if they are going to be changing the rules they need to tell us so the students have the best chance.

@@admdrivingschool5033 yes I’m an ADI, I only cover mulhuddart. Have been doing it for 4 years now. Initially I though the students were keeping too close to the kerb or l being too centre etc but nope, time and time again the feedback given to the student was “ you have to be centre of the lane on roundabouts that are single lane and have enough space to fit two cars” apparently it’s Dangerous because it’s designed for one car to go through at a time and keeping left or right will encourage others to enter at the same time as you. After all these years of no issues I feel like pulling my hair out. It’s only when I started talking to other instructors did I realise how big of an issue it was in mulhuddart. Strangely maple house students don’t have this issue.

Can the handbrake be removed before observations/signal or is that a fault in the test. If road is flat the car won’t roll

It doesn’t really matter what way you do it as long as you look before you signal and check blind spot before moving off

I thought you are not allowed to turn the wheel while stopped when doing the turn about
