Ive tried cactus many times, boiled, grilled, in soups and in salada or with steak, and it tastes like nothing, unless you eat it with a good dressing or sauce, but its rich in calcium, vitC, and other healthy minerals and vitamins.

I didnt know that kind of plants are really good to eat.. I live in a ignorant place lol. I swear this is the first time i watch someone who eating cactus.

I think its neat that people can make such controversial looking food look yummy. It really teaches you that looks dont always matter. This cactus is actually akin to a purple carrot maybe in taste. Really not awful. Just more leafy.

In Mexico most of people eat nopales (de second type of cactus the girl is eating), but had never seen someone eating them fresh. I don't really like them, because I feel it's like plastic, haha. You should try them grilled with grilled or fresh chees and sauce.
