58:57 for all Tyson Fans: This is what the 10 count is about. The referee has to make a decision, whether to send the fighter back into the fight or to stop the fight, in order to protect the fighter's health. it has nothing to do with 10 seconds. (Tyson vs Buster Douglas February 11, 1990). otherwise there would be a stopwatch visible for everyone.

What’s awesome about this videois that it displays the racism in America at this time. video can’t lie and has no choice but to be neutral but the referee and the commentators are untruthful. This video shows Muhammad Ali getting hit in the back of the head 11 times then in retaliation he hits Wepner in the back of his head four times. In the instant replay after the round was over, they only showed what Muhammad Ali did. The commentator tries to play down anything that Wepner did in the black commentators nervously laugh as they basically call sign what the lead commentator is saying only one had the guts to mention there was any wrongdoing and that was very subtle.

The two black commentators were cautious about defending Muhammad Ali too much because they knew if they did the consequences could be the loss of their job at the very least and that moves. I can’t imagine what the consequences would’ve been, but they would’ve been severe.

Me also...you just cant explain why to people that dont appreciate a pugilist specialist..As Lennox Lewis would say. The Liston, Patterson, Chivalo fights showed a man in the most purist state of any being. A pure gift we got to see, and nothing even as close today.

Wepner can take a punch. Normal people wouldn't want a street fight with him. Ali was the master.

This was an absolutely incredible fight. Although the sad and scary thing about it is that Chuck Wepner's many punches to the back of Muhammad Ali's head probably had a pretty big negative effect on Ali's parkinson's. R.I.P Champ 🙏❤️

Absolutely the greatest fight I've ever seen, and I've seen a hell of a lot of fights in every weight division! One line is really true from one of the rocky movies, Ali hit Wepner harder than he ever hit any other opponent, but he just wouldn't go down!

Really? This fight over the Ali vs Frazier trilogy or Foreman vs Ali? Ali fought the toughest fight of his life to me in Ali vs Frazier 3 and Ali displayed immense power in his Ali vs Foreman fight. This fight is amazing tho, just not quite legendary as Ali’s other fights.

Not "the greatest fight I've ever seen", but one thing I will say about it: Wepner sure showed heart. Just like Rocky: an inferior fighter, yes: but loads of heart and determination. And Ali -- like Apollo Creed -- didn't take him seriously, and didn't bother to train for the fight.
