I'm sorry, GSP definitely deserves to be on that list. But it's so hard to make a list with boxers and MMA fighters. Completely different sports with Completely different regulations. It's alot easier to go undefeated in boxing than it is in MMA due to promoters involved.

It’s an impossible list. Ask 10 different people to make a list of top 5 NBA players and you’ll likely get similar responses. Ask them to list top 5 fighters, not boxers or mixed martial artists, but fighters in general. You’ll get 10 completely different responses with like 20 different names and rankings. Way too broad of a list

DC feels like a natural on First Take, should be a weekly contributor. At least have him on the show once before every big UFC event. Also, none of us are going to agree with this list, but it's such a hard one to make, especially when we're considering ALL combat sports. Literally if ANY of us made a list, a bunch of people would be flaming us in the comments, so I'm not even going to focus on that. The names he put on there all have a case. My only hard disagreement would be if I'm taking anybody off of that list, it won't be for Mike Tyson, it'd be for someone like Jon Jones or Sugar Ray Robinson.

Fedor didn't fight a lot of the best heavyweights, he fought in Pride. While he did face Randleman, Big Nog and Cro Cop and a lot of good HW's (Coleman was past his prime and roided out) a lot of the fighters he vsd weren't very good. He fought 4 or 5 legitimate HW's but the rest were mediocre local Japanese fighters or rejects from other companies

Everyone has different views on the greatest fighters of all time. DC values being clean and defeating opposition no matter what which is why he put the undefeated fighters so high. And at the end of the day it's just his opinion yall there is no definitive way of defining who the GOAT is because everyone's criterion is different.

GSP beat every guy he ever faced. One of his losses is to the second greatest WW of all time in Matt Hughes and he beat Hughes twice. GSP is considered by many to be the greatest MMA fighter of all time. I dont know what blemishes you're talking about. MMA isnt boxing where you can have a 54-4 record while 30 of those are cans you have never heard of.

Steven A always keeps it real. Jon Jones should definitely be on that list over Khabib. Man has beat EVERYONE literally and stat wise.

Sugar Ray Robinson is universally recognized as the greatest boxer of all-time. Yet he's not anywhere on the list. This list was a complete air-ball by DC.

Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns , Marelous Marvin Hagler, and prime Roberto Duran would have all destroyed Floyd! Facts. Floyd can't punch but he's a heck of a boxer. But no way he'd beat any of those guys being a soft puncher.

Khabib beat many straight out of the p4p list. Khabib is undeniably in everyones top 3 list whether you like it or not. In the modern era of cage fighting gladiators, MMA, Khabib as a pro fighter NEVER BLED, was never knocked down, and only lost one round in 29 fights, a round which is arguable af. One pro MMA fight equals to 5 Boxing fights, 29x5 = 145 thus for me he is on top of the list.

@@chitoes1707 It’s an aspect of fighting. MMA is as closest to real fighting there is BUT by your logic MMA still isn’t fighting because there are rules on nut shots, eye pokes etc. If MMA was “real” fighting it would be anything goes.

Khabib’s level of opponents was not even close to the other fights except maybe Amanda. And Amanda shouldn’t be on the list
Impossible to make such a list to be honest too many great fighters!!

Not even Khabib would put himself over Ali. Khabib and Floyd were undefeated but out of respect for what he did for combat sports I think he's number 1. Floyd and Khabib's runs were perfect so they deserve to be up there. Nunes and GSP are also good picks. Also shout-out to Mighty Mouse who always gets left out and Royce Gracie for all that he did for the sport in his time.

Don’t group khabib and Floyd together. Khabib is great but he shouldn’t be over Ali. But Floyd in boxing has done more than Ali, more champs beaten, more divisions won, and remained undefeated

@@KINGWESTCOAST I was just comparing the two in terms of having undefeated runs in their respective sports. Both left with no losses, a ton of money and never bled. They played the game the best. I would agree Floyd did more in his sport but Khabib didn't lose rounds and also to stay unbeaten in MMA is harder imo given that the sport encompasses more. For me they are both greats in their own ways.

@@KINGWESTCOAST did more than Ali? Ali was fighting killers in their primes. when he was past his prime. Floyd was fighting guys that were already over the hill. padding his record against old aging legends. he was a champion in multiple weight classes, but that doesn’t mean a whole lot when there’s 69 world championships. there’s 4 world titles in each weight class. In Ali’s era winning a world title was a huge accomplishment. nowadays it means nothing unless you beat the best for it.

Regardless of the right order which I think its hard to agree on, these five fighters are not a bad choice at all for all time top 5. Besides, enhancers should ultimately disqualify you.

I don't think you could compare boxers with MMA fighters. Two completely different sports. But I think you might have had a point about Muhammad Ali. And this is is coming from a huge Ali fan.
The fact Sugar Ray Robinson isn't on this list is insane. Sugar Ray Robinson is probably the greatest boxer of all time pound for pound.

U cant just ignore all the other aspects and only talk about titel defences. U cant just ignor their cheating, steroids usage, The amount of fights they had lost, Thd rounds they lost, dominance. How long it took them to acctully get a titel shot. Khabib had to go on a 9 fight win streak to be given a titel shot. Khabib did it all clean and Without bleeding once in the octagon or having a single bruise on his face. Those other guys where on peds or lost multiple fights or lost multiple rounds and had controversial wins unlike khabib. Even gsp and john danhar said khabib is a goat

@@hisoka524 Good points that I didn't ignore. Khabib may just be the most dominant fighter ever. His lack of title defences (3) compared to others can't be ignored either. DJ had 11 defences in a row without any cheating. Gsp has also beat everyone he has ever fought and has way more title fights. No cheating either + double champ.

@@jorgemasvidal5834 khabib had 3 title defenses and the best opponent he fought before winning the title was RDA. Ali fought the best fighters in the world for over 10 years and the majority of ali's losses were when he was way past his prime.

I don't think Poirier, Gaethje, and Mcgregor are comparable to Liston, Foreman, Frazier. Overall I think that mma fighters should be favored over boxers in this list, but I think that GSP, DJ, and Aldo are all higher than khabib all time not to mention Jones, Silva who are not on the list because of peds.
