The truth is the truth no matter who says it. Listen to the words and don't dismiss them because you don't like the speaker. This was a great statement of what made Ali great.
"We should honor him by letting our gifts go among the world as he did." Beautiful way to end this tribute.

Indeed.
Boxing will miss Ali. The world will miss Ali. Humanity will miss Ali. God bless his soul. 💥🥊
Ali chose the speakers and did a wonderful job in choosing people who he personally respected to speak for him and deliver the words he would have spoken had he been able ...still flying like a butterfly and stinging like a bee and now truly free at last ...
I was blessed to visit Ali. I was like 17. Cool, and nicest kind champion. Watching his days as the Titan in the ring. Missed.
FYI Ali planned his funeral. He chose each speaker. So keep your opinions to yourselves

Indeed an excellent tribute.
What Muhammad Ali means to me was a man who rise from defeat to conquer the world.
One of the bravest men I can imagine. And a total humanitarian.
Another one of my generations' Icons has passed. I and my whole family were proud and enamored of not just his athletic prowess but also his courage, his efforts on behalf of equality and peace throughout the world and his dedication to his family. I believe that now unfettered by his physical body that he is dancing and shadow boxing and has bowed to the only one Greater than us all. I shall always love and miss you Mr. Ali. Have a wonderful journey as you embark on this new life. Thank goodness you can "float like a bee" because you most certainly will continue to be as busy as one. If I am extremely blessed I'll see you when I get there.

That was beautiful. Thank you for the sharing of your heart.
you use the word CHILLINGin the hope it creates hate, but this is a great speech from one great man on another. None of us are perfect, but the world has a shinning light to give us guidance - Ali
I love you Ali; RIP
thank you a lot
Mr. Clinton after decades of being your opponent, at least in this particular speech we're in same page. Well done and in this case I feel your pain.
People its not your funeral. Stop concentrating on who the speaker but what they are saying about The champ. Your criticism is going against what ALI stood for.

Ali was racist against whites because they were racist against him. Let's be real. When he got rocked by two white dudes and knocked down by one of them, he got real heated and had a very hateful look on his face...., but when he got cracked by Frazier, he never came close to showing such hatred. By the way, I am not white.

can't go wrong when it's from the heart
Seriously, this was a man's FUNERAL. And not just any man, a GREAT man. Can't we just have civil comments and not bring politics and personal opinions into it.
I don't care what people think about Clinton but I know he wasn't faking in his respect for Ali. My dad was a boxer and told me that in his opinion that Ali is the greatest he has seen. cheers Gary

He most certainly was. His skills were Supreme. He beat every great fighter from 1963 to 1978 in the hardest heavyweight division in history. Names like Patterson twice, Liston twice, joe Frazier twice, Ken Norton twice, Earnie shavers, Ron Lyle, Ernie Terrell, Jimmy Ellis, George foreman, Jerry Quarry twice, Leon spinks, just truly was a miraculous boxer. Truly the greatest of all times, and anyone who says different doesn’t know s thing about boxing. That’s how much better Ali was than other greats. 💥🥊
Yes, indeed Ali was a true legend and he will remains in our hearts forever. R.I.P The true legendary and world greatest.
Brilliant and heartfelt eulogy.
beautifully and respectfully spoken, reguardless of motive
Pathetic that some can’t see the honor in one man giving a tribute to a close personal friend he has known for decades.
Bless you, President William Jefferson Clinton!!! That speech was fantastic!! If there be any haters on the comments for this speech.......you may feel free to BE GONE!!! There's no room for hate on THIS thread, for this beautiful, poignant speech!! HATERS, BEGONE WITH YOU!!!
We are only here for a short time in this life, I'm seeing that now. When I was young, I was arrogant, full of pride, but I had love in my heart! Love is sacrifice!!!
RIP Muhammad Ali, and thank you Bill you articulate very well his true character.

This was a very profound but at the same time simple and honest speech. What's chilling about that?
It is sad and more than a little disturbing to see this video turn into a forum for hate. Shameful.
Regardless of one's opinion about Bill speaking at Ali's funeral one has to admit for an ex- boxer from St. Louis to have an ex-president speak at his funeral says a lot.

Yes, it says he's trying to get some t.v. time. It says he's doing this in the hope of successfully securing the black vote for his wife in the up coming election. It says, once again he's bamboozled this segment of the population. It says that he care about one famous black man, while denying the black masses. It says that Bill really didn't have anything better on his calendar that day.
Thank you President Clinton*°•♡
This is a beautiful speech for a beautiful athlete. How 'bout leaving it at that.

What's not great about a man; who used the huge platform he built to speak for those whose voices were lost, to speak against injustice in society, show the “powerful” that he didn’t fear them as he spoke for what he believed. When he refused the Vietnam draft, he put a lot at risk - most people would have found a way to slip out of it or would have gone - but he in essence said “what have they done to me? You’re the ones who have persecuted me and oppose me, why should I kill some poor people in the mud for big powerful America?” His big mouth was just banter in the boxing/entertainment world, you think any of his opponents take it to heart? You must be crazy. Joe Fraizer and George Foreman for example all talk about the greatness of Ali, even though he insulted them to the tee. He negotiated the release of several hostages from Saddam Hussein’s Iraqi govt whilst Bush was president for which he received the Presidential Medal of Freedom (the highest honor a civilian can receive). He mingled with everyone, especially regular people and kids. He wouldn’t rock around with bodyguards, he’d just walk into crowds of people because he wasn’t scared - he truly was the peoples champ. He would spend huge chunks of his time serving the underprivileged who weren’t supported by the powers. How many famous people do this kind of stuff? At the most they might mention a couple things, but are just pandering. Muhammad Ali actually dedicated his life to fighting injustice by not being afraid to put himself in the firing line because he knew with the influence he had, it was his duty. To not call him one of the greatest human beings of the 20/21st century is an injustice to the man. I can’t think of many people at all who used their influence to create positive changes like he did. He WAS great.

SPORTS media GAVE HIM WHAT!!!!?? HE NOT ONLY WON FIGHTS, BUT DID SO AS HE PREDICTED!!!
Maybe the uploader meant the speech gave him chills.
He was so fast he could turn out the lights and be in bed before the room got dark.
Mr. Ali.. A great man.. Ali is still the best. A true champion of humanity & spirit in so many ways. I loved him as a child as I watched in wonder his skills as an athlete, his beliefs & his voice on civil rights. I was a very young then, but I will never 4get how he fought the good fight all of his life. He never gave up or gave in. I admired him deeply and I will until the day I am no more. Maybe I'll even get to meet him someday :). I know he's in the best place ever created now but he is missed by this entire planet of so many cultures and religions. We cry in the losing of him, his life here but he's joyful at his new arrival.. Mr Ali, we still hear your voice.. it will never die.
Great tribute. Regards, Michael M. Kamau, Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa, 28th December 2023.

Hilary said on the campaign that she was not a natural politician like her husband. This bears this out. Whether you like him or not or his wife, he's a great orator and I don't know if he's crooked or not, but he can (can) make it all seem heartfelt. Great tribute from a flawed but great politician

Duely respected, and former american president mr. Clinton, sir, it truly is one of the few best of tributes I have ever heard. and I am not saying this as a fan of yours, which I happen to be.
Feels like an honest tribute sincerely said
Very good speech.
I'm Crying 😢
Ok, but did I miss the chilling part? It was a wonderful eulogy.
Bill Clinton is the only president I know of that came to a city's roughest part of town while in office. That city was Louisville, KY , Ali's hometown. That area of town was Park DuValle. (Cotter homes and Southwick)
Mr. Clinton, is speaking out in a very humble and very conservative way.thank you Mr. Clinton, Mr. Ali, would have been proud, RIP Amen.
Inaa lilahi wa ina ilayhi rajicuun may Allah grant him fardowsal jana aaamiiin
Thanks for posting this. Bill Clinton is so inspiring.
It's interesting that Clinton chose to call Ali a "universal soldier." If you've ever heard the song Universal Soldier, you know Ali was the opposite of that. He was a universal voice for peace, not for war.
despite all, Ali is now one of the biggest stars in the cosmic constellations. a great ancestor now.
Rip Ali.The Greatest

A young black kid from Louisville who most defintely shook up the world. GOAT. RIP Champion Of The World
love you Al and Bill Clinton. Wish people like you never got old!! One thing I know is that you'll both never die.
Thank you for your wonderful speech Mr. President. The whole world misses him. May Allah bless Muhammad Ali. Rest in peace champ.
RIP CHAMP, You really were the greatest!
Yes, Muhummad did truly write His own life story. Courageous in and out of the ring, a true Warrior.
Clinton is such a rock star!
One of the greatest presidents we have ever had, eulogy for a truly loving and gifted Muhammad Ali.
Great fighter but Greater man
Honorable President Clinton gave such a great speech. While Eulogising Mohammad Ali, also gives light on how many of us can learn from Mohammad Ali 's life and contribute like him to the society. Such a forward looking man. He ( Mohammad Ali) perfected gifts that we all Have. What a Great torch bearer is Mr Bill Clinton. Showing the Light , like a light house. We need to honor MOhammad Ali : by realising our gifts .
I know its useless to think such a speech in tribute to an incredibly animated, richly principled man like Muhammad Ali would be appreciated by everyone, but reading the vitriolic comments directed at Bill Clinton himself is just sick. The layers and intensity of hatred people have for their Presidents past and present has gotten so bad in America, they ended up choosing a man (Trump) most world leaders are coming to realise is as uneducated and ill informed as a sizeable portion of the American population that elected him. In any event, Clintons' speech was a touching tribute to a great man, a true warrior of the heart and a moral compass for all mankind.
rip greatest of all time
Truly a compassionate President. Thank you
Ali great humanitarian God will remember him
Bill❤️
What do mean it was a chilling speech?? That not words to use. It was a great speech and the best one I've ever seen/heard given by Bill Clinton. For all the wrong done by the Clintons, I forgot it all when listening to this speech. Besides my father, who's nickname was Tarzan, Mohammed Ali, Bruce Lee and Elvis Presley are my other three great idols of my life time!! My dad and Mohammed Ali both dried after experiencing a horrible illness and they shared one other thing also, they were truly great mean in many different ways and Inpacted everyone else around them in a very positive way!!
They introduced him as the honorable William Jefferson clinton? ........that's HILARIOUS! !
the champ
the best ever
Monica Lewinsky was hiding in the podium for Slick Willie
I'm not a big fan of President Clinton but he said some Beautiful words about Mr. Ali! A lot of great men might have a President speak at thier funeral, Only The Greatest will have have a President trying not to cry! Much Love to the Ali Family!
Ali = Love
sick sick man
