Aaron, it melts my heart to see you have your girls out and about in the outdoors with you and Sarah like this. I know you're already aware of this, but these times will have such huge impact, influence, along with heartfelt memories and appreciation when they're older. My dad had me in the outdoors as soon as I was able to crawl, and my love for the outdoors, hunting and fishing bloomed and continues to this day. I'm 60 and lost my dad last year who was in in 90's. But the memories will be with me as long as I live. I have no doubt as they mature, your children will reflect on you and Sarah the same way. All the best!

In south africa some will eat carp fish, but thats very rare to happen. Saltwater fish like snoek/bonito/yellowtail/cob/galjoen/red roman/silverfish is very popular here. Especially our snoek and its only made on the braai(bbq) with apricot jam/butter/lemon/salt pepper

DMFD...I was taught an old fishermen's trick! Works on catfish and even carp/suckers. Because they're bottom feeders, they build up that "garbage taste"! Once you catch them...keep them alive, overnight in a clean feeder stream. The junk inside gets washed out and you end up with a less " garbage" taste. Back home we call it..."leaning them out"! Gives them a fresher taste. The longer in the clean feeder stream...the "leaner" they get.👍👍👍😎🤙🍺

May not seem like it, but....practice gratitude. It will make you feel good. One, your mom is alive! The lord has blessed you with the opportunity to give back to the woman who loved you first. Second you have a job shit or not people are going under everywhere. You have a place to live and food. Trust me your possessions are the least of the things that you will be grateful for. Enjoy what you have now because tomorrow isn’t promised. God bless you and good luck, you will get there. Nothing worth having is easy.

This vid showed the exact opposite way this fish should be prepared...lol. love ya rob

Robert, leave the Cypress Trout whole: don’t gut scale anything. Make sure its dead (club to head) lay on preheated propane or charcoal grill. Turn every 5 minuets for about 30 minuets. Remove from grill gently cut around head gill area clip spine remove all entrails intact. Use scissors clip down back gently lift top skin roll over and repeat remove tail place whole bone in fish on platter, sauce and serve. It will taste like tunafish Best Regards

I'm new to your channel and love seeing how well you take care of your fish to eat and the fish you are releasing but I have to tell you that your mudfish is a "Choupique" to us South Louisiana boys. It can be some of the best eating fish if done up right! Keep them alive! They will stay alive in a bucket of water till you are ready to clean them then when you are ready have a clean and quick dispatch before you clean them, after cleaning dry the fillet as fast as possible with a paper towel and put the fillet in the frig in open cold air on a tray until firm. Batter/fry and enjoy!!!
