MTF Transition: 2 year timeline

My journey in pictures. I started HRT on my birthday July 30, it now has bigger meaning to me, than just a birthday.

I am not going to lie, but this actually made me cry. Your video is so personable and so innate, it reaches out to me. Even the Acne scars and oily skin, I have em too. I've been suppressing for years and there are many days when I feel like ending it all. One such day was yesterday. Thank someone I chanced upon your video. I'm usually a very shy person and don't reach out to anyone- but I had to tell you this- you're such an inspiration. Stay blessed.

Thank you for sharing your story with us all. It was beautiful and touching watching you blossom into the beautiful woman you are today. You can tell as soon as you made the decision that you were at peace and truly happy. I hope this helps others who are suffering in "their" body to find the courage to be truly happy and become who they are meant to be. I am so proud and happy for you. Love and light to you 💖

Girl!....I totally feel this!! Your transition was a lot like mine! As in, NOBODY saw it coming! Lol! I was basically "a Man's Man" in the eyes of everyone else....but little did they know it was a fake tough persona I had created to survive! Lol. Shit, I was a mechanic for 16 years! And 8 of those years I was transitioning on the job.🤷‍♀️ Kind of had no choice..... Had to pay the bills. But yeah when I came out definitely nobody saw it coming because of that. And I'm sure they did the same thing with you with you being in the military and all. But during the last 10 years of transition..... I've come to realize that a whole lot of us Transwomen were ex-military, firefighters, construction workers, mechanics, and so on and so on. Like we all decided to choose some of the toughest jobs to try to fool the world around us! Lol! Anyway thankfully you didn't follow the same path that I did. My dysphoria literally destroyed my mental health right around puberty. And I subsequently spent my teen years...all of my 20's.... and some of my 30's on a copious amount of drugs. 😕 All in an attempt to either end my life, or burn out the part of my brain that made me Trans. Well, it accomplished neither!!! 😆 Just made me a burnt-out transwoman! Lol. Thank God I came out on the other side looking halfway decent though! I don't think I would have ever kicked alcohol and drugs if I hadn't transitioned. Your story is inspiring girl!!! Because I definitely know the struggle! Especially family members hating on me for it (my mother especially)! 🤦‍♀️ It doesn't help much! And when you had to be financially and emotionally responsible for your entire transition.... It's a very tough road!!! Definitely not for the weak.... it's for the STRONG like us!!😉👊♥️👏💯

Oddly enough..... Over the last 10 years of my transition.... I've come to realize that a VERY LARGE segment of the Trans Community has Autism! Myself included!!! Lol! I honestly think there's some kind of correlation with it. Not saying that every autistic person ends up having gender dysphoria..... Just that we are more susceptible for some reason. 🤷‍♀️

I swear, E is like the fountain of youth, not only did you become a beautiful woman but you look like you went twenty years younger. Hoping my transition goes at least half as well as yours went, because like you; I also went into denial after speaking to a gender therapist, I was really struggling with the way people in my life had reacted when I came out to them, it felt like everything was going so fast and I was worried about how our relationships would turn out, they still continued to treat me that way even though I haven't begun medically transitioning yet and I kind of just don't want to waste any more time dealing with that in addition to still dealing with dysphoria, I mean some friends and family members have handled me coming out better but I would like to contact my gender therapist again and resume my sessions as well as start HRT, I had the repeat prescription letter but it's out of date now, it's been hard to contact my gender therapist with the lockdowns, I don't know his other details except for his name and address, haven't been able to find a phone number. So I'm just hoping and praying this virus stops spreading, they make a vaccine and the lockdown ends, because I would really love to start hrt now.

@@KylieMaevlog Nice male to UGLY female. This is a good example of what NOT to do. The truth is while transgenders wax on and on about quote "being their true selves" there is nothing genuine or real about them. They are living synthetic lives based on drugs and body mutilations while demanding that the world celebrate them. Some of them further exploit themselves parading their drama queen lives online hoping to be some sort of celebrity in a reality show where nothing about them is genuine or real.

Celebrating mental illness is not hope. Children aren’t born hating their sexed bodies. Teens are being encouraged to freeze their sense of self in a moment in time, during the period of life when everything is in flux. And even though key researchers have said over and over again that most gender dysphoric kids “desist” and grow up to be gay or lesbian; even though the latest research denies any such thing as a “male” or “female” brain, parents are encouraged to socially transition their kids, put them on “puberty blockers,” and refer to them by “preferred pronouns.”

    @jeremylee5990

    4 жыл бұрын

@@cbm_playgaming8066 You can CHOOSE to normal. You are just caught up in a destructive lifestyle. The idea that children are born with an innate ‘gender identity’ which develops pre-natally and is impervious to environmental influence is not supported by any credible science. We are our bodies. Body and brain are interconnected; scientists have found no separate innate ‘gender’ area of the brain which is fixed at birth. Children’s brains are very plastic; they develop through interaction with people and the environment and they are constantly absorbing information and influences which shape them. Research in neuroscience consistently confirms that there is no 100% ‘male’ or ‘female’ brain and that all children are born with the potential to develop their own unique characteristics of behaviour, interests, talents and personality, regardless of their biological sex. The more recent view breaks in a radical way from the earlier understanding of things by inverting the relationship between the given or natural and the conventional. Now sex is held to be arbitrarily "assigned at birth" and can be freely manipulated by the self, which has an essential gender (be it male, female, some mix of the two, or even something else entirely). No matter what sex was assigned to a person at birth, that person can claim to be, in essence, another sex, and this claim must be unwaveringly accepted and affirmed by everyone. A person with breasts, a uterus, ovaries, and vagina can call herself a man, and the rest of us are obliged to recognize and socially validate the truth of this assertion, very much including at the level of the pronoun. There's just one problem: The assertion isn't true.

Do you feel something when you see your guy photos? I mean, when I see mine as a very manly guy with facial hair I feel sad and I feel like I miss him, like I neglected him. Is it normal? Sometimes I think or feel like if he were here as the guy I used to be obviously my whole world would be way different and I don't know if it would be better...

  • @KylieMaevlog

When I look at old photos I miss it but I think what I miss is the memories, not the appearance I had. I think its the waiting to make new memories with the current appearance that may cause you to miss it. I am now full time since the top of the year, I've made some good memories since, its just a little bit of a different world that you are being adapted to.

Kylie Mae Thank you for answering, you're definitely right ,I think it might be, that I'm missing the old memories and the ease and simplicity of being a guy, and the tranquility of being what everyone wanted me to be. I talked about this with my psychiatrist and he said it was because I got used to about being manly for pretending. I had waited so many years to start my transition and suddenly one day I woke up missing the beard I had always hated ,missing the handsome, successful, flirtatious, friendly guy with a bright future to come . I feel like a failed to that guy ,to my old guy persona, I see my old pictures and I wish I just could feel as manly as an average guy...wondering why did I have to feel this way? What or how can I do to feel OK being that guy I had to pretend ? or not pretend? Someone told me I was afraid of being a man, that I was too afraid to take my masculine changes, and think of myself as a grown man,and that all trans people are just afraid of being who they were born as... what do you think about? I had loved to be born woman physically but how it didn't happen I would have wished to be an average guy with a normal life not feeling this way but it didn't happen either... what can I do?? I don't want to be a feminine guy ,or I'll be an average woman or a manly guy...but I'm too afraid to do any of those and wake up at the future one day feeling regrets because I didn't transition or because I transitioned. Sorry for writing that much but I don't know what to do. I hope you can help me with it. Thanks.

Thank you for sharing. As in your situation, everything fell into place mentally when I went to see my psychotherapist who with little effort was able to detect that my problems were connected to my ‘identity’. Which is why I find it ironic that transphobes tell us we should go and seek professional help for our ‘mental illness’! Hope your transition continues to go well, you look great!

Kylie Mae,I am the Clinical social Worker assigned to the HIV Clinic at Hines VA Hospital outside of Chicago, IL. As part of my work in my clinic I work with transgender patients who are HIV Positive and have spent time building up a clinical competence in working with transgender patients. As a veteran myself (Army Reserve in Grad school '74-75, Active Duty as a mental health therapist/social work officer 75-77, Army reserve '77-'94, Retired Reserve Rank Major Medical Service Corps) I have built up a further competence in combat stress treatment as well and have been fortunate to be seen as a resource by a number of combat vets who served in Iraq and Afganastan.. I have been at Hines VA for 39 1/2 years and plan to retire in Sept 2017)Given my interest in working with transgender patients and combat stress as well as a skill that I have developed in helping vets file for service connection claims I wanted to offer any assistance that I might be able to you.I am Frank R. So do you see yourself as a straight woman or a lesbian. I'm not trying to be rude, As a gay man I understand that there is a deference between gender and sexuality. Honestly it's none of my business. I sometimes think I might be trans but I'm ok living as a gay man I have a wonderful husband and I ok living as a man. One Halloween a friend did me up as a woman I could pass got hit on by a trucker I cried when I took my makeup off. I'm truly wishing you the best We have come so far! :)

C jae I respect your opinion and understand. Many people judge and ridicule people they don't understand, you are very mature for this. I really appreciate it. Transgender women are born with a female brain yet have male genitalia and appearance. It is a birth defect thought to be caused by a hormone imbalance in mothers or genetic mutation. I believe transgenders have a real, medical condition. Intersex people exist (people part man part woman), and some intersex people even have "in-between" genitalia. If that's possible, I believe it's possible for a person to have a female brain with male genitals. Merry Christmas!

C Jae + I too cannot understand this. You're born either male or female, no surgery can change this. Intersex is another issue entirely and is a real medical condition.

Native Atheist I mean, surgery can change the person into a happier one. We cant change chromosomes and we know that. But it's not hard to understand that our mental biology and physical one don't align. Just look at intersex people. A xx person can be born with male genitals or male features and vice versa
