MST3K-Broadcast Editions: 614-San Francisco Int'l 11/19/1994
There's sub-plots all over the runway!
Aired November 19, 1994 at 7pm. The world premiere!
Before the episode, enjoy the last bit of The Kids in the Hall.
After the end, stay tuned for a brief snippet of Harry Shearer's short-lived news game show thing The News Hole, complete with the terrifying CG head of Dan Rather.
This is from the fourth year of Comedy Central. In its prime. Watch for lots of nostalgic commercials!
Check back here roughly every week-ish (ha!) for more broadcast versions of MST3K episodes.
FYI, I'm always on the look-out for taped episodes with their commercials intact. Preferably March 1991 and earlier, or Turkey Days ''93, '94 & '95. I'll even pay for the things. Interested? Drop me a line! Find me on Reddit, Tarlcabot18 or Twitter, Tarlcabot25

WOW! News Hole with Harry Shearer is not easy to come by. Really excited to see a snippet of it at the end of this recording. Thanks for sharing!

Almost forgot about that, thank you. Edited the description. Weird concept for a show, the head of Dan Rather is just... bizarre.

Weird how it's the commercials are the most interesting part.

A small sample at the very end of this recording from my personal tape collection is sadly probably the closest we'll ever get to "finding" this series.
Another broadcast copy of my all-time favorite episode?! And the premiere of said episode?!?! Yes, please!!
I love that Patton Oswalt was doing MST3K promos

Yeah, I was honestly surprised to see this recording of mine was indeed the premiere airing and not the next day rerun. Happy to help you out with this one none the less even if it's not one of my favorite episodes from season 6 (those Urkel segments get old FAST!). And thank you for including that small bit of "The News Hole" with Harry Shearer at the end! I consider myself lucky this recording even HAS that at the end considering what an absolute pain it is trying to find his series online. I also had no idea "Virtual Dan" (yeah, that CG is DEFINITELY pre-windows 95) was based off Dan Rather but I do see it more now. (It also sounds to me like Harry was using his Principal Skinner voice for the head model).
That one was painful, but the riffing was excellent.
my nose wheel feels mushy
MacGyver's boss got PISSED OFF at hippies during the episode
“Airport movies are like the watering holes of B-Movie actors.” I think this is why I love this episode so much. Also, the KTMA episode SST Deathflight is one I enjoy despite the relatively sparse riffing. It had a TON of actors past their prime, plus two who hadnt hit the big time yet (Billy Crystal and John de Lancie). Here’s hoping future seasons may contain more airport movies (and a revisit to SST Deathflight).
THAT NOSE WHEEL FEELS MUSHY
Also, oof.... I REALLY hate that I accidentally exposed myself to that "Vacant Lot" promo with that gross Van Gough ear joke thrown in unexpectedly (though I guess that is VL humor for you) at 1:31:16 at the age of 7.... Definitely didn't sit well with me at the time. I have no memory watching this recording at that time so it MUST have been around the time I discovered this tape with the two next day rerun airings of "The Starfighters" and "Sinister Urge" (the former of which I did come to pretty frequently as a kid) and must have been SUPER curious to watch it from start to finish.
I dont follow you my friend, no way.
