Damn this game is a must watch for wolf mains, the tech options being covered by larry are insane, he has amazing mixups on his recovery (well most of the time, except the wolf flash after being hit immediately to leo counter) the rar back-air fake out to tomahawk grab. God damn.

Dropped wolf because of everything beating my recovery, but Larry just showcased that it can be made up for with consistent stage control and ledgetrapping. I think I'll try again.

My advice for both of you. IT IS NOT GONNA WORK. Not trying to be negative or anything but as a main Wolf myself, I can say that Wolf serves nowaday as a secondary character for specific match ups;however, if you are facing someone that excels at edgeguarding such as : Lucina, Marth, Inkling, Joker etc... you are going to lose no matter what angle you do. The problem with Wolf's recovery is that is VERY predictable. Sent wolf too far away? He is definetely using side B to grab onto the ledge so anyone with counter or two frame kills him. So...you kinda move around in an angle where the recovery can get you back to the stage;however, look at 8:30---that is the perfect example of how Wolf recovery is so exploitable and to be honest...Leo was kinda being passive into punishing Wolf miserable recovery as other hyper agressive players would surely take advantage of that.

The fact that these guys don't even know what perfect pivoting is, Leo's staple movement tech from 4, the fairly large tournament in Europe, UFA (barely a month ago) where he went Marth in Winner's Grands against Gluttony before switching to Joker in Losers, and not even having the capacity to pull out their phone and Google Kurogane for frame data. DS is frame 5 *with* intangibility on the first frame. It's honestly ridiculous that these guys are on the mic.

It's funny listening to just how wrong these commentators are on Marth. "They nerfed him a little." Understatement, they massively nerfed Marth: some tips actually got weaker, sourspot smashes got weaker, range got reduced, hitboxes adjusted to make tips smaller, DB got neutered (slower startup, weaker final swing, less consistent connections), U-throw nerf. They also said Up-B is frame 1, normally I'd let it slide since I assumed they probably were referring to the frame 1 intangibility the move has and I don't want to be an overly pedantic asshole. But no, they continued to say that the ground version was still frame 1 but without the intangibility. Let's set the record straight for those who don't know, Up-B is a frame 5 attack with frame 1-5 intangibility in the air and frame 4-5 intangibility on the ground. But I will give them credit, Marth's tips are very inconsistent. But if you're going to be wrong about something, at least be entertaining.

Great set, despite the the two pieces of dust on the mic, like my guys. Are you not witnessing the same match? Sh*t deserved way more hype.

these commentators are respectful but some constructive criticism.. be more enthusiastic and excited. for a set of this caliber i would myself be hype as hell. Also great job to larry lurr for a on point set.

Mr.E honestly got me into playing Smash 4 Marth. I liked playing Melee Marth, but before the update that fixed Marth’s sword in Smash 4 I didn’t like using him. After seeing Mr.E and Pugwest play them i needed to try him again myself

The game's been out for almost a year and I'm just now noticing that they changed Marth's tipper sounds to be the same as Ike's sword hits. Sounds like unwrapping a fast food burger.

Regarding the comment about "marth being messed up by ultimate", i don't think he is. I think the problem is other characters become stronger too + there's more characters. A lot of ultimate mechanics benefit Marth's toolkit

Yeah, they have nerfed the hell out of his non-sweet spot attacks in favor for his gimmick, the tipper. I mean the tipper is pretty powerful but not AS powerful. This is why Lucina excels marth in almost every single way.

They should make it so that some of his moves kill earlier when tippered than they do now. I feel like his tipper up air is too weak for example.

If he needs a secondary for tourney's, why not Lucina? There were a few moments where Lucina would've definitely killed

Larry "who is unranked currently" beats the unarguable number 1 player in the world IN BRACKET: the announces... "well there it is" the crowd... *checks phones, shrugs. If this had been a melee crowd there would have been a mass around the monitor, the announcers would have been going nuts, and the crowd would have exploded after the match. Seriously guys WTF is wrong with the ultimate crowd? We wanna talk all that shit, but we look and sound as excited as a golf crowd during an insane 5 game set.

It's a weekly so Larry's rank doesn't change, he beat a secondary of the top player whom he is practicing with. Then there's the fact of marth being like his 4th or 5th best character. So yes you beat the game on easy mode and almost lost. I think its impressive that leo is using players of Larry's caliber as practice
