@@hhhhhh-vi6sq I'd guess its because everyone, by this point, knows how much of a threat his Joker is and have the matchup pretty much memorized. MkLeo, on the other hand, probably adapts to his opponent--which takes a game or two to really kick in.

I'm noticing MKLeo playstyles is always usually the same in most first 2 games scenarios, he plays a great Neutral during those two matches to kinda figure out the opponents playstyle and habits and sometimes unintentionally makes them comfortable to use them more. In the 3rd and 4th game he kinda starts bouncing the ball in theory to see what he can do that'll "break the mold" for the opposing player and starts to make them nervous for the final set where he exploits their habits and offstage shenanigans that Leo didnt know before. It's kinda a interesting mindset to go into games like these with top 20 players now that I'm binge watching his clips.

I wonder if Leo has some sort of metagame going on with losing early games. Pretending to have punishable habits and then in game 3-5 punishing you for thinking he's going to do the same habit. Either way, Larry really showed how good wolf is right now.

Leo is literally the most boring player ever. He does nothing but but use the SAME moveset, meanwhile we see the players he goes against literally use everything to the best of their abilities. All he does is exploits certain mechanism To his advantage that isn’t possible to even DODGE. Example, his Ike pay was literally bullshit, that it’s encouraging roughly 78% players to copy his “skill set”

He brought Ike uo because his retarded sword reach. Sure, he took advantage of that, but all he did in 90% of the plays as ike was N-air and Up air. That’s it. No up smash, or side smash, or even tilt attacks. Rinse and repeat. Ike is incredibly eas to use once you understand how to exploit his (and other characters) move set. Joker is just his way of “proving” he can play “other characters”. Again, Joker is literally easy to use, especially when it comes to mind games. I’d love to see Leo use Olimar, or even Zero Suit Samus, or Jigglypuff.

Not hypocritical at all. I play jigglypuff insanely different on how people use her, and I barely float and STILL decimate players. What YOU don’t seem to understand is players “abuse” certain moves because they know they can’t get hit using those certain moves. Why ELSE does Leo spam the N-air as Ike and Joker ;)?

Let me show you guys something important to why MKLeo does what he does. Look at Leo's face and demeanor after Larry beat him to games in a row. He's smiling, shaking his head and looking normal. Now look at how Larry came off the platform in game five after Leo put him at last stock around 19:54. He comes off and barely moves for a few seconds. The point being the difference in mindset. Leo being too full games foen never game up but you could tell as the games went on, Larry started to doubt and play worse. This is a BIG reason why Leo is so consistent and why people say Tweek isn't.

Mkleo just has the mental steel to not tilt in those situations and adapts so well to the point where the Leo you see when the set starts is not the Leo you see when it ends. You can see this in action between game 2 and 3 where Leo shifts how he plays in disadvantage state to not get two framed by Wolf and changes his spacing and approach when at high percent when Wolf is shielding to avoid getting punished with up smash. This along with a change from maintaining stage control when Wolf is in disadvantage to focusing on edge guards is what wins Mkleo that game. Between game 3 and 4 Leo again shifts his approach to the game when Larry picks Yoshi's, abusing the stage's slants to gain different angles with dash attack and side-b in order to mix-up his approach options. This change just on the first stock gives Leo an almost zero to death against Wolf which leads to an insurmountable advantage for him. Finally on game 5, Larry is just on full tilt losing on his counter pick and plays really sloppily, letting Leo do things like land a string of side-b's in a row which results in an easy stock, giving up stage control, and not even edge guarding. This results in a last stock situation where Larry has to fight an uphill battle against a Leo with a fresh stock while sitting at 110%. Leo being Leo of course wins the neutral game finding an opportunity to drag down up-air > down smash to close out the match. This is kind of a surface level analysis, but this is just to show the thought process that goes down behind how Leo comes up with insane comebacks or just outright 3-0s people. Leo is incredibly consistent but also an adaptive monster, that knows the ins and outs of almost every single match up in the game. Doing all this while mastering an incredibly versatile character in Joker who doesn't really have any truly poor matchups on top of playing at peak mechanical performance day in and day out.

Holy moly! I honestly thought Leo was gonna lose this ! Well played by Larry.

Mkleo is just amazing. So swift and dominant he dances around people with joker. Larry was constantly running after him and sometimes succeeding with some great tec chases. But in the end Leo smelt blood in the water and just zeroed in on Larry....there was no escape. This thought was inspired by gameplay at 19:38..... Larry had a target on his back...Both really incredible players

I feel this is a the standard now. Adversary proceeds to overwhelm MKLEO on the first one or two games and in the third one he proceeds to crush them. It's like I'm watching DBZ all over again.

Ah shit here we go again 2020 Edition

The more I play Joker, the more amazed I am at just how good MKLeo is. The problem about being so good is that he makes everything look so easy and people will doubt his skill and say it's because Joker is broken. Joker is a great character for sure, no one is doubting that, but he's nowhere on the level of Brawl's Metaknight or Smash4's Bayonetta or even Melee's Fox. It really just as simple as "MKLeo's the better player."

Leo is a Kpop fan right? His names are always Twice or Red Velvet members?
