    Nice to see you exploring the build in picture scaling options and limitations of the monitor. Given the industries push to bigger, wider and higher resolution formats quite an important aspect of mixed content usability. Still hoping for a decent modern 16:10 oled or fast miniled VA panel but currently that seems wishful thinking. Still the most thorough and informative monitor reviews on youtube - thank you very much!

    Amazing review. I didn't think I would be interested in a review this long but it really helped me in deciding. Ultimately, the poor hdr has me steering away. Keep up the good work!

    Thanks for the thorough review, learnt a lot about monitor tech! Would you go this or the LG 34WP65C-B 34" being very comparable to this one

    No experience with the LG, but based on what users have said about it I feel the MSI is more solid. The LG also lacks a wide gamut backlight, so it doesn't share the MSI's vibrancy level.

    Hello, thanks for the review, but can I ask for your opinion on this compared to Lenovo G34W-30? I'm planning to get a new UW monitor and I'm split between these two. Cheers!

    @@PCMonitors Hi, I'm an independent VFX artist and I'm looking for recommendations for a 4k Monitor that covers nearly 95% of the DCI P3 color space. Mostly I work on independent movies that are projected on movie festivals. What would be your top 3 on budget monitors that could cover those needs?

    @@ferdinandzv You should wait for our review of the MSI MPG 274URF QD, which offers excellent DCI-P3 coverage and is certainly worth considering beyond just 'gaming' - pcmonitors.info/msi/msi-mpg-274urf-qd-160hz-4k-ips-with-hdmi-2-1/.

    between "BenQ EX3410R" (Dec. 2021) vs "MAG 345CQR" (Feb. 2024), I see MAG has 10 bits vs 8 bits and the specs are almost the same, but MSI is cheaper. I might go for MSI but the brand holds me and Computex fair might announce new monitors. I'm looking for 34" 1000R so who can recommend the best choice? avoid samsung because of crappy QC experience.

    No experience with it or plans to review (blame LG's lack of UK PR team), but based on user feedback it looks like a decent option. If you like the sound of the 27GR95QE we've reviewed but would appreciate a bump in brightness capability, you'll probably enjoy the 27GS95QE.

    What would you say is the best VA panel in the 34" inch sector? I could get the Samsung Odyssey g5 34" for 300, while I would need to pay 400 for this one. What I'm most concerned about is the smearing issue. Good Review btw.

  • @PCMonitors

    @PCMonitors

    They all suffer from it to a fair degree, really. The Samsung is probably a decent enough bet for that price and worth trying out. Just be aware it doesn't has the same wide gamut as this MSI so won't be as vibrant.

    The RTX 4080 SUPER will drive it well - similar to the RTX 3090 used in the video. Would recommend watching the video to find out how the monitor itself is (yes, it supports Adaptive-Sync.)

    The exact VA panel type is not specified by the manufacturer, though it's irrelevant given the performance and image characteristics are explored in detail in the review.

  • @PCMonitors

    @PCMonitors

    2 ай бұрын

    @@astropeanutcat1953 It's not relevant on a practical level, given most SDR content is 8-bit. And dithering can be used at the GPU level to 'fill in gaps' for HDR content where 10-bit is useful. The result with that is very similar - though per the review, these aren't the sort of monitors you should conmsider for their HDR performance.

    ~520mm according to MSI's website. Or that's the height of the monitor with stand, presumably with stand at lowest height.
