i have the one with i7 11800h and and 1650 max q and 8 gb ram. i got it about 2 months ago and it works perfectly. the only thing i'm worried about are its hinges. i haven't experienced any issues myself but i have seen a couple people say that their hinges broke within less than 2 yrs of use

there are some users reporting that the hinges break after less than 2 years of usage while other users have had the laptop for 3 years with no issues. this is the worst thing about msi - inconsistence. some laptops are great but others have problems straight out of the box.

in 3.5 years of usage no problem with hinges but it does heat quit a lot with extensive usage as pointed out in video other than that it is really good for its price point

don't, msi gf series are shit. as a gf65 owner; . its a fucking pain to take apart to upgrade, and shit breaks when you open it . keyboard is riveted, you can't replace it without something breaking . keyboard deck is as hot as a teppanyaki grill if you don't use an external keyboard . if you wanna give the cooling a deep deep clean, you'll have to take the entire heatsink assembly out bcs the screws to remove the fans for cleaning are underneath it, tht would mean thermal paste would be wasted if you need to clean it once a month
I also have the same laptop except that I have an i5 11400f processor. I connected it to my 165hz Acer monitor but im only getting 120hz refresh rate. Do u have the same issue? If not how do u fix it?

the laptop only hdmi 2.0 which only support 1080p@120hz

@@aruna699my gf65 with the 9400h can pump out 2560x1080 at 165hz with hdmi 1.4 tho. unless you have the hdmi connected to the integrated graphics
