MSFS - Landing in Lukla tutorial (AH, Fantastic approaches - and how to fly them, Ep. 1)
Ойындар
Hello flight simmers, and welcome back to Alpha Hotel flight simulator training.
In this video, we'll show you how to operate in and out of Lukla, Nepal in MSFS.
Lukla is one of the handcrafted/bespoke airports in the standard edition of MSFS, but is a very challenging airport to operate from. In fact, many consider Lukla to be the most challenging (and most dangerous) airport in the world.
You need to fly a precise flight path - both vertically and laterally - to successfully land there. In this video, we'll teach you how to fly that flight path, and show you some tricks you can use to give yourself some guidance.
If you're not familiar with the G1000 panel, make sure to check out my tutorial series on that unit: • Garmin G1000 training

Glad you continue to enjoy the content mishmish1968. Thanks for the positive feedback, and thanks for watching!
Wow! I attempted this with a manual VFR landing and I thought I was too high. It looks like I should have tried it instead of aborting. I was flying the new DHC-4, so with very basic systems available only. I need more practice with the C208 before I attempt this as you instructed. Fascinating video! You really do quality videos. I am impressed!

I doesn't look right when you fly it right - that's why I recommend practicing a few times in the 208 with some lateral and vertical guidance to get that sight picture before you try it with a different aircraft (though the DHC-4 is an excellent choice once you've gained some proficiency. Thanks for the kind words. Glad you found the content helpful, and thanks for watching!
Good evening Mr Alpha Hotel. I follow the route and your instruction to get to Lukla from Kathmandu and the route is absolutely correct. Congratulations. Very good video. After this excellent introduction I make my way to Lukla. Since I'm new to VNAV, I'd appreciate it if you could bring this up in an upcoming lesson. Thanks very much

This airport is one of them used in a bush flight

Don't think Lullka is in a Bush trip - but Courchevel is. The technique for flying into both is similar, though.

Since you are not only an expert pilot but also on MSFS. It would be helpful to show how you map keyboard or yoke inputs to quickly access the major cockpit views. 3:01
