True Queen Mary 2 is the only one out of these capable of crossing the Atlantic and is designed to do about 30 knotts. Not many cruise ships can do that.

@@USSVoyager5 I know which one I'd rather travel on. QM2 any day. MSC Splendida looks like an apartment block, Costa ships have a way of sinking, but QM2 - amazing.

QM 2 designed as a liner, not a cruise ship. There is a difference!

Costa serena is my fav

RMS Queen Mary 2 is the my favorite vessel.

Fun Fact: QM2 has one of the original Queen Mary’s horns. Long Live Cunard.

I visited the Queen Mary on Long Beach harbour in 1995. It was so gorgeous ! So glamourous.... I would have loved to spend some days on it ! Or "Le France" early in the 60's, so glamourous too...

Cunard is adding 30 new balcony cabins to the top deck in late 2016. The 30 units will be above the top row of cabins at 3:57. Hopefully they won't damage the exterior design to much.

Gegen das tiefe Horn der Queen Mary 2 kommt keiner an...Sie hat übrigens ein Horn von der Queen Mary I! Warum in aller Welt müssen moderne Kreuzfahrtschiffe eigentlich so plump aussehen vorn und hinten? Wer konstruiert bloss diese schwimmenden Wohnblocks? Ich kann mir die Queen Mary 2 nicht leisten, aber ist einfach unbeschreiblich elegant.

so teuer ist das nicht fahren im August von Hamburg nach Amsterdam und Brügge und wieder nach Hamburg für 600 Euro pro Person. Freue mich schon jetzt darauf, weil ich wollte schon immer einmal mit der QM2 mitfahren.

Saw Splendida next to us on the Queen Elizabeth about a month back in Barcelona of all places lol . Thankfully they did not have any horn battle. A great tradition maybe but sometime annoying. " im bigger and better than you" attitude does not work with me.

It's not a "horn battle", that's simply what youtubers have called it. It's either a greeting, or "I'm passing you, head's up!". That's why they go three horns each, then one in reply each. They all do.
