It gives me joy when editing these things to analyse her reactions more closely. My Wife also insists on seeing the raw 'Boss' footage for the same reasons. As she gets older I can see more effort being applied to explain the tastes etc... really cool.

With only the visual cues to guide me, it looks like a well-designed ration, with plenty of food. Definitely something that would replenish an exhausted soldier in the field.

Thanks for this rare ration ! These beverages remain me these from Czech ration I reviewed last week - seemed to be crumbled, but dissolved well. These 4 FRH on one plate make impression :) I like these fruits - I've seen only one in a ratio before. You're master of the "hiss" :)

I tried to take a close look at them. They appeared to be Korean. I noticed the Spanish language writing at the top and for the instructions but the "not to be eaten" warning still in English at the bottom. I've noticed that with other Korean FRH bags produced for other armed forces. Was there anything on the FRH to indicate what country it came from?

Unfortunately I didn't look for the country of origin at the time. I might go back through the raw footage to see if I've captured it on camera somewhere. They took a few minutes to get started but really picked up after that. I can usually tell if a U.S heater will be a dud by holding it for the first 30 seconds, so I wasn't expecting much from these ones when after a minute they were still cold and silent.

I'm from chile . to do my military service in 2014-2015 and I had the opportunity to try the food for survival in the campaign, the rice was very delicious, in the package I brought porters, jams, 3 portions of food (rice with meat, chickpeas And noodles). Two minor criticisms: The drink bags clearly had 1L for one liter printed on them. And the more important tone is that you heat the entrees and then let them go stone cold before you try them. Why? The other stuff can wait. But those slams aside, excellent work, as always.

Hi Rocky, there was still a good deal of heat in those entrees (great heaters!), but yes - even with bad heaters I do tend to start with the sweet stuff first. I might try a more conventional approach next time to eat the entrees in their prime :-)

Got to say I really take my hat off to you Mr Dude , what a fantastic parenting trait exposing your daughter to not only different foods but also the way different cultures use them. Also kudos to The Boss for trying them , not sure what age she is but I can imagine she is in a very small percentage of kids prepared to willingly try anything showing total trust in her dad 👍👍👍

Thanks Rick. The Boss is 7 years old, but has been trying rations with me since she was 4. Even then she didn't need much encouragement to try different foods. There's some things she'll eat that even I steer clear of (baby octopus for one!). Cheers.
