Phil can sit there and watch another pro catch several bad beats where he was favored to win going down a few hundred thousand dollars, but as soon as Phil loses one hand he starts whining immediately. More than anything else, the thing that turns me off from liking or frankly respecting Phil is his utter lack of ability to read the room.

The 1st hand on this video (Phil with 99) shows exactly how bad Phil is as a poker player. Mr Beast thought he was beaten when Phil called the river bet, because he knew intuitively that the board KQT against a NIT like Phil wasn't good for him. So a beginner player read the hand perfectly and the "best poker player in the world" made a ridiculous call and, even worse, start whining later.

His behavior at the table clearly demonstrates to me that his goal for joining this was to take some 'easy' money off young celebrities when it should have been to endear himself and the game of Poker to those celebrity's audiences. Instead, he sits there and whines over bad beats or the amateurs "playing wrong".

Phil's mom should teach him a lesson of manner. A 57 years old man berates someone half of his age after losing a hand at poker table is unacceptable !
