Unlike anyone else, he doesn't get hurt, he's a steady defender. And a great smile with a clutch hitter and a home run, what he brings to the Mets is great.

Lindor, man what a huge addition to this franchise! He brought a much needed good defense and clutch hitting for the Mets. We're still a long way to go but here's to another good year in baseball. I cannot wait!

@Sam not really. SS is the second or third most valuable position in baseball (pitcher and catcher) and he provided insane offensive value as well. A 5 war season is worth about 35 million dollars in my opinion.

@@Sam_Baseball you overpay for the best players available so they don’t go to other teams. almost none of these huge contracts wind up providing accurate value when all is said and done

@@zanepramudji4470 catcher is no where near a priority position, that’s why plenty of pitchers have had personal catchers who were God awful at everything other than catching the ball and setting up their pitchers easily

@@SavingSoulsMinistries I disagree with that. It’s one of the most valuable positions that currently has a lack of talent, that’s why you see so many defense-only guys. Especially with the universal DH now, you can afford to use one of your 9 spots for a weak-hitting catcher if he provides great value defensively. There’s more good catchers on the way though, guys like Adley Rutschman and Francisco Álvarez will headline the next generation of catchers.
Now do Andres Gimenez. I’ll wait patiently.
