MISS YOU MR ROGERS SUE!
I really enjoyed watching this video. It's marvelous to see that Mr. Rogers had a Christmas Special. I also don't think it's weird at all. It's special, and it's so Fred Rogers. He's flexible and perfectly willing to let other characters take the center stage and show off their talents, and yet, all the while, Fred is still there with us. It also probably wouldn't have worked to do everything exactly the way they did in the show in which the episodes were 30 min segments. Everything would have probably felt stretched. This was an hour long special so Fred had to write in some new creativity and some new ideas to make this special truly special. And I do believe he was successful with this.
This is a great surprise, especially for me because today is my Birthday.

I've wondered, if Mr. And Mrs. Mcfeeley got married at a young age and adopted an older girl from an orphanage why they became grandparents at a young age

It was an interesting decision to make then both appear older early on and eventually watch them both age into the parts but yeah it definitely caused some confusion for me as the show went on and they filled out their family and backstory.

The reason why I asked is because Mr. And Mrs. Mcfeeley were both a pretty young couple and already grandparents in the early Mr. Rogers'neighborhood episodes

The black and white episodes of Mr. Rogers' neighborhood had a fountain with the frog family in place of the mound with the platypus family
