I think the only reason Mr Pigeon was akumatized 72 times is because Gabe is wrinkling his brain slightly and thinks that could weaken the team with Cat Noir's allergy.

To be fair, I can let Chat Noir's ineptitude slide this time, because at least there's a viable reason for it. Man can't help he has an allergy. Also he was very competent when we meet up with him in the episode because he's the one who tells LB that the police officers were being kidnapped, which is crucial information! We might not see it but like, it implies he went off and did some investigating on his own, which I think is cool of him.

Honestly a lot of the costumes (both for the heroes and villains) were lackluster, which is weird considering how important fashion is to/influenced Gabriel, Marinette, Chloe, and Adrien.

Its even more weird when you look at the magical girl genre as a whole. Even Sailor Moon had the outfit upgrades despite the pretty basic sailor suit base form. And dont get me started on Pretty Cure.

Mr Pigeon is the bastion of silly villainy that Miraculous doesn't deserve but it's there, acknowledged and slightly appreciated, and the fact that he was akumatized 72 TIMES across 4 seasons proves this feat. His pigeons are not threatening in the SLIGHTEST and the sheer fact that he thinks that Paris SHOULD be ruled by pigeons and cares for them is ridiculous and insane of him to do. I also cherish the Cat Noir dance scene with the Moonwalk and even the Psy Dance with that giddy up motion and yeah.........this WONT or EVER be the last time we even see him attempt this and that Ladybug and Cat Noir will contend with this for the long run.

Ok, because I am obsessed with Chloe’s redemption arc, this video inspired something. Yes, it is in her characterization to cheat, but I can picture her arc beginning here. I think it would be cool to see how far her love of fashion goes. I can picture her actually trying to draw some designs and realizes they would never be good which than resorts to stealing Marinette’s idea. This could explain how Chloe is jealous of Marinette’s talent and where some of her hate for her stems from. Oh and if her both of her parents don’t think she is talented in anything, it would explain why cheating is her first instinct. That and what she learned from dad as mayor. It would add more death in her versus her just being a bully to be a bully.

I feel like Chloe's redemption Arc wasn't going to make her a good person because she's a Bitch and always will be one. But After her redemption Arc she would be a Bitch for the Forces of Good. Like Being the Lesser of Two evils She would be the only Evil Presence in Paris and would get rid of all competition in her way including Hawk Moth. The Idea being better the Devil you Know than the Devil you Don't!

@@lockskelington314 Okay first. Comparing/associating a 14-16 year old to the Devil himself is kinda yikes. Second, it wouldn't be a true redemption arc if Chloe still seeks to harm others after the arc is over. I think a better way to go about it is after her arc, Chloe still isn't the best person. She still has her selfish and arrogant moments but she also shows compassion but in her own roundabout ways.

@@redballoon9007 I wasn't comparing him to the Devil. Its an expression that means its better the evil that you do know than the Evil that you don't. What I meant is that Chloe acts like she did in that one episode where she used her connections with her father to help someone. She doesn't become a Warm Person or Friendly she just stops being mean to her classmates. IE no more stealing, pranking, or humiliating people in her class.

I still don't get the ending. Based on Marinette's own book the sketches are just that. I'm sure she has different views for what she wants the hat to be but they don't look like technical sketches. No measurements, size, distinctive color etc. So with nothing but a simple drawing they ended up with the same hat. But worse they somehow ended up stitching Marinette's name into the hat. It would be clever if the instructions for the design always somehow left Marinette's name into the hat. But again the sketch is just...a drawing. How stupid is Chloe and Sabrina that they - without any provocation - stitch's Marinette's name into their hate

About the stitching, i like to assume the hat makers Chloe hired did that on purpose to teach Chloe a lesson. I highly doubt a professional wouldn't notice this

Yeah. Just shows how much the writers DONT know about fashion design, even tho is one of Marinette's main characteristics. Like, ok, she has a sketch of what its supposed to look like, but thats that.

What’s weird is that the episode implies the contest is a class assignment, but in the wiki, apparently it’s a fashion design competition in the school. Also, no offense to most of the class, but the only ones who even have some fashion skills are Marinette, Adrien, and Chloé, with Marinette at the top because she aspires to be a fashion designer. The rest have no interest in fashion whatsoever, and while a few have artistic skills, don’t really connect with fashion designing. Feels unfair that a homeroom class with different students with different skills and interests have to enter a fashion competition as an assignment and complete it in ten hours. If it were a fashion design class, or a school-wide competition like it was said on the wiki, then it would make more sense.

Mr Pigeon was the first episode of MLB that I ever watched, and after (about) 5 years the episode still makes me smile

While I hate that they made Cat Noir an incompetent idiot, it is easy to let him off the hook because of his allergies. I wish it was taken more seriously because not everyone has mild allergies. They can cause anaphylactic shock. Glad it did not reach this point, if allergies affect your mission, it is bad and needs treatment. So he shouldn’t be made to look like an idiot for something out if his control.

What I'm _most_ confused about is that despite know EVERYTHING about Adrien, Marinette didn't seem to know he had a feather allergy already.

Honestly it's the funniest episode that includes Mr. Pidgeon, not that I dislike Mr. Pidgeon 72 but that one is more serious

It wasn't needing a crap that it looked like when he was panicking. He was squirming similar to how a child would when needing to go take a leak. Backwarder is the case of crap. That episode will forever be cringe. Seriously backwarder jokes about constipation! That's messed up!

I love this villain I don't know why he’s just so dumb I can't help but love him your comments are just icing on the cake

You know what makes Chloe even dumber is the fact that Marinette literally had a pile of scrapped hat ideas, she could have just told Sabrina to take any of the crumpled paper when Marinette wasn’t looking or just take it from the trash once she threw them away. She wouldn’t have been able to prove that Chloe stole the design since Chloe would have taken the original sketch.

Ya know I get why you wouldn't be able to use consistent footage from concurrent episodes or all of S4 which was airing in real time but is there any reason you can't just edit footage along side your script/talking points with these retrospectives?

It feels like this character is either related to or was inspired by pigeon man from Hey Arnold. He's just as ridiculous, relates better to pigeons than people, but just isn't worn down enough in appearance to be the same person. Pigeon man from Hey Arnold is said to have flown off to Paris, so Mr. Pigeon may think of the birds as either being originally domesticated by pigeon man or got the idea of trying to domesticate them from the guy.

It's not such a big thing you know, allergies are not your ID card ya know. But what did I personally dislike in this episode was that she didn't even think "oh Cat is allergic to feathers too, so I guess feather allergy is more common than I thought" or something like that. Not for even a single second.. That'd be so cool if she did

I'm from Germany and here it is actually illegal to feed the pigeons, because they are aggressive and there's too many of them. They aren't called "sky rats" for no reason. They shit everywhere, steal food, take away living space for other birds and they're an actual plague because you can't get rid of them. Idk where else it's illegal though

To be fair, there are some pigeons that are war heroes and often don't carry the deadly diseases rats are capable of carrying, they can be pretty cool, but that doesnt justify feeding a bunch of wild ones in public spaces. Still a bad move on Mr pigeons part

Technically it wouldn’t be him again because it’s his first time repairing

If Catnoir retransformed after using his Cataclysm that means he could have used it again, which he could have done after catching the birdcall before sneezing, he could have used his Cataclysm and then touch the bird call which would have destroyed it then ladybug could have freed the akuma

The contest doesnt even make sense tbh. Hats arent like designing a shirt art or smth. If the contest was about designing a hat concept, i would understand. But making a hat from scratch in 10 hours seems more like a sweat shop than a fun event for teenagers.

Sorry, but what you said about pigeons is wrong. They are not wild animals, we actually domesticated them and then abandoned them when we had no use for them anymore. Because they are domesticated animals they cannot survive in the wild on their own and that’s why they live near humans in cities. There their living conditions are not ideal either and they mostly eat trash because that’s often all they can find. My point is that Pigeons living in cities and shitting everywhere and carrying diseases is entirely our fault because we didn’t treat them right. That’s why Pigeons at least deserve our kindness and compassion since they are not responsible for this, we are and that’s why we also need to fix it.
