I've always wondered where my favorite content creators stood on these things and it is such damn breath of fresh air to hear their takes. Just another reason to love Mr. Fruit and gang. I've always liked Joey and hearing speak passionately about this topic has made it even more clear he was a great addition to the team. Keep up the good cahn-tent boys. I'll keep watching and listening.

the moments where things get real in the podcast discussions are some of my favorite moments in gg/ez. Things have been very dark lately for the LGBTQ+ community and hearing some of my favorite content creators bringing it to light really makes me feel like theres still hope that we can turn things around. Thank you guys for keeping it real.

33:30 my brother was the only one to lose his taste from COVID, and it made me realize how much we as Americans rely on comfort food. Even if not everyone gets to the point that they are gaining tons of weight most people have some sort of comfort food for even small things in life. Losing this very simple aspect of our lives that brings joy in any way can be so damn devastating to the psyche

Loved every part of this podcast episode (had to skip the spoilery part of the Spiderverse review because I hadn't seen the movie yet, though). It's good to see you doing better on your recovery, Fruit, and love to have you back. 😊 Thankfully, the suckiest part of this first surgery is behind you now. As a bi woman, I really appreciated all of you speaking up about lgbtq issues as well. I knew you were supportive based on previous comments from you, but it's just nice to hear you say it again at a time like this when so many people are horrible and hateful towards us when all we want to do is live our lives with the same rights, respect and dignity as everyone else. Completely agree with your takes on empathy/compassion too. ❤

Currently listening to the audio, but came here to share this. When my fiance was in the hospital for both my kids' births, she had the same thing happen with the IVs. She had several "experienced" nurses try and put in the IV. They also couldn't find the vein. However in her case, she has veins in her left arm that can't be found and they have to always use her right arm and even then they have a hard tile finding them

I do disagree with some things said, but I respect you guys so much that I wanted to hear you out. I think the big thing is I agree with Rob’s big point “people need to care more for people”. It’s a both sides thing and I mean for the people who don’t hate the other side. Because honestly anyone out there speaking hate and people should be hurt or killed because you don’t agree with them is down right stupid. I think people just need to respect opinions when they cause no harm or pain too others. If you can’t do that you lack simple human empathy. I’m on both sides of the fence, whether it be left or right, I’m on the side of let me live my life and you live yours and I respect that.

I know I'll probably catch serious flak for this, but here's my take. I'm a straight, conservative white male that is 22 years old. Growing up in this generation I have met, been friends with, and been just fine with a dozen not-straight people. As someone who tries to follow the Bible closely as much as possible, I believe that homosexuality is a sin. But if you asked my two coworkers if I thought that way, I can guarantee you they would be shocked. Because in my eyes, at the end of the day, they are people, and God calls us to be kind to the people around us. The only time they're lifestyle becomes in any way my business, is if they are in my church or family claiming to be Christian but are living in sin. And that goes for adultery, and a bunch of other sins, not just homosexuality. So unless I'm explicitly asked my opinion, I'm not even bringing it up, because that's a human that deserves rights at the end of the day. It's possible for people like me, when viewed HEALTHILY, to disagree with their lifestyle but still love them as people... Without trying to change anyone. I think that's the view more people in my circle should have, and it isn't even that hard of a conclusion to come to. I've never left a comment like this before, so I'm interested to see if it gets removed or something.

God also said women are property and should marry their rapist. God also said that if you beat your slave and they die within 3 days you are responsible for them, but if they die after 3 days it is fine. I find it sad as someone who was raised going to church how many Christians haven’t actually read the Bible, especially when they place all their morals into a book that can only be described as evil.

However, in that you guys made some jokes at the expense of the Christian faith, and laughed about it like it’s fine. I am a fan of you guys and have been for years, I’m also a firm believer in my faith in God. I’m not gonna go on some tirade about how you guys are hypocrites or whatever because I don’t believe that, but if you’re going to say be nice to people, don’t also turn around and joke and mock a religion just because you don’t believe it. I recognize a lot of Christians do a horrible job of loving the people around them and I am deeply sorry for any hurt anyone experiences from a Christian, but there are also a lot of us who genuinely just want to love others. I just don’t think it’s fair to say to be nice to everyone and then also mock people who have religious beliefs.

Really enjoyed most Dream Team content, tried to follow as much as possible but think it might finally be time pull the reigns in. As the team get older and start commenting on things other than games you might want to give yourselves a listen back before putting it out in the world. First someone makes the statement that the LGBTQ. . . (not sure up to what letter we are nowadays) community have the right to protect their children, then just a few minutes later Rob makes the statement "you're only 14 and you don't know anything" ( kzread.info/dash/bejne/rH6c2ruBdbeapaQ.html ). Only one of these statements can be true, and I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure there are no such thing as a LGBTQACDEFHIJKMNOPRSUVWXYZ child, in the same way as there is no such thing as a Catholic child. This involves lots of propaganda, indoctrination, temptation, etc. Another good one: 1st statement - "why can't we just all live and let live", just a few minutes later Rob with something about punching n-a-z-i's. Again; only one of these statements can be true at any one time. Rob, n-a-z-i's, really? WW2 ended in 1945; your grandfather had a reason to hold a grudge against them, not you dude . . . maybe little less Wolfenstein?

I kind of wish they could get someone that believes the things that’s are against. Not so much the country bumpkin red neck billy down the street. Just a guine smart person, who believes different and can back up what they think.

You guys are a little off on the lgbtq stuff. The problem isn’t people being gay but pushing it on kids is the problem. Plenty of stories of out there of the problems with the movement out there. Research into it

I agree but what a straw man argument, it’s one thing to disagree it’s another to completely disregard a person’s opinion out right. Parents weren’t upset because pride month was being recognized in school they protested because of the explicit material such as the book gender queer, bye bye binary, and this book is gay are all examples of books with important themes but probably aren’t for younger audiences. The other thing that should be kept I’m mind is that the protest was mainly about these topics in elementary schools. I would also recommend that people read these books as they can offer great insight.

I'll try to keep this relativec medium in length. I do disagree with the gender issues and politics discussed at the end of the podcast. I will preface I am Muslim, so I do belong the Abrahamic faiths and their belief system, but I'm not here to say "God said so" and end with verbal abuse. That would be extremely insulting to God to repersent him in such a inane manner. I understand that the underpining western philosophical/political concept is liberty, thus people are free to do as they please, as long as they do not harm another. Maximisation of pleasure, minimisation of pain. The reason I disagree with this notion is firstly because the prinicple of maximising pleasure, minising pain is counterproductive to building a fulfilling productive life. Suffering and pain are inevitable in life, and when an individual accepts these notions and embraces them (not as in they search for it, but accept it) it is ironically more liberating compared to running away from the inevitable. It leads to stronger phyiscal and mental resilience, which seems to be lacking a lot in the West right now, as we can see with the mental health epidemic we're facing (more concentrated on mental illness' than mental disorders). The second notion I disagree with is "as long as it harms nobody else". People often use this with only their current enviroment in sight, but in reality the harm is done in the long term. Take the destabilisation of families, meta-analysis have shown that the increased number of sexual partners prior marriage reduces martial happiness, also increases in divorse rate, as well as a struggle to marry to begin with (although this issue only exists in the short term). Family stress and ADHD are a huge link, divorce being a contributor. Divorce for kids has even been understood to be worse for a childs mental health than death of a parent. There seems to be a growing divorce epidemic in the West too, though I'm not going to quote any stats on this because I acknowledge the "almost 50% of marriages end in a divorce" is distored due to divorcee's remarrying possessing an even higher probability of divorcing, further accelerating the divorce stats. Similarly with LGBTQ parenting, the roles of 2 or more fathers, or two or more mothers, or more than two parents, have yet to be researched in the long term for child development so I can't yet critise it. Though what I can say in the general defence of gender as a construction (that even if that may be the absolute case, for the sake of arguement ignoring the scientific biological contributioons to gender behaviour (by and from hormones)) is that even if gender and gender roles were a construction, they seem have worked damn pretty well for civilisation to have come this far. So why change what isn't broken? Now I understand people and predominately women in the West would argue against this for they don't seem to be happy with the way their lives are (and I will acknowledge there are absolutely injustices taking place at the hands of men), but I would also counteract this as a Eurocentric view for if you speak to women and mothers who play a traditional role across the world, majority of them would answer you that they are content in their role with their contribution to society and their families. Ironically as we in the West attempt to revolutionise socially, we've actually caused more harm with high suicide rates, high depression rates, high lonliness rates, high anxiety rates, high divorce rates, high obesity rates. Is this truly the reflection of a working/perfect political ideology? My apologies for making this so long. Peace be to anyone who reads this, I appreciate you taking the time. To wrap up, tradtional/religious values focus on society as whole, modern values focus on individuals. Thats something to worth debating in your head to figure out which one achieves the best aims and goals, and what are the best aims and goals? societal or individual?
