OMG who is this guy. Great restoration sir, you always make my day with your videos. Years ago 1994, I attended a school on how computers work, and how to make repairs. I built several gadgets and repaired a couple of small calculators . I must admit, that with your very limited equipment you do great work. I see a lot of naysayers and viewers making snide remarks about your techniques, but you get the job done and you are number one in my opinion. I was so pleased to see all those lights come on when you turned it on and the water boil. I think he should be wearing a suit and tie, and supervising some repair shop or business. Thank you for posting these videos, and doing something to make the world a better place. I doubt if you understand my comments in English, but I hope someone interprets for you.I salute you Mr Electricity and wish you well. Ken, from California in the USA. PS I have been to Vietnam many years ago, but under some very bad times. It is nice to see Vietnam doing better and most people are enjoying life as it should be. SALUTE.

i agree ken - embarressing some of the comments , its a privilage to watch others work especially those who have this level of skill and to top it off use such modest tools . - not that tools are poor but we are programmed to think technician equals $300 snap on screwdrivers and spanners .

jack of all trades..am still amazed at the watch repair he did...i imagine he is self taught, and fixing things is more than his work..it is a hobby..enjoyable activity for him from the variety of items he has taped for our viewing..as we can tell no fancy work shop or tools..he just gets by with his smarts and what tools he has..impressive..

@@AiMR digital meters these days are pretty accurate. Especially if you stick with name brands such as Fluke, Amprobe, Bryman, Agilent, Extech, etc. It's 2019 bro, not 1963. Also, if they're junk why did they always work for me when fixing F16s, RC135s, CH-53Es, and many more other aircraft in conditions from rain to extreme heat and extreme cold. Gotta get with the times man. Lol

@@flightmaster178 Yeah, no, digital meters are actually quite poor at showing changing signals and unless you're a professional nobody is going to spend $800 on a Fluke Digital Multimeter. The most sought after meters right now are the old Simpson's that Electric and Phone companies used to give to their employees.

На будущее, при первом включении после ремонта. Включайте электронные приборы через лампу накаливания ватт на 60-100 последовательно, это убережет от непредвиденных взрывов компонентов. Работает как предохранитель, если осталось где нибудь короткое замыкание, то она загорится просто. Если нет, то будет нить накала слегка красная, после этого можно смело включать на прямую в сеть.

Those are power resistors... high wattage. Probably undersized from the factory sadly. The ones he replaced them with didn't look much better.

Yeah but the old good analogues Are better for catching fine differences in readings. We used to have sensors and even potentiometers that were easier to test with an analog meter.

A few things. First you need to buy a soldering station (Weller WES51 is a great soldering station) for just these type circuits. Second, If I am not mistaken, I thought I seen a cracked coil casing just below the fuse. I wonder if that is partially shorted and heated up and cracked? IDK The large coil also looks like it got really hot at some time.

А какая разница? стрелочные приборы отличаются от цифровых меньшей инерционностью, сроком службы и точностью показаний. К примеру те же мегомметры.

@@wickedxe так вас, что не учили правилам безопасности при работе с электричеством. меня куда больше бьет током сварочный инвертор на моей работе основной, чем когда занимаюсь хобби по ремонту электроники. щупы у него правда китайские, но они выдерживают до 500V переменного( и 10A кратковременно). да и не сравнивайте не всем доступны приборы стоимостью от 25$ и выше, я начинал с прибора стоимостью всего 2$

@@wickedxe 200 австралийских, в переводе на русские 9200 рублей, это очень приличная сумма(половина месячной заработной платы), но с другой стороны я и многие другие не полезут в подстанцию на 10kV(хотя там используются особые приборы и жесткими правилами). Для работы с электроникой достаточно простых приборов(с защитой от пробоя не менее 500V), кроме случаев где используются умножители напряжения(шоковые устройства, микроволновки, старые кинескопные телевизоры и тд.). А так я не хочу спорить с специалистами, это не моя профессия, а хобби. И все используют то, что им доступно и какие знания получили. Ладно останемся друзьями и больше спорить не будем.
