Watched mr Davis in The House asking for vitamin D to be looked at for covid ... gave all the same I formation as on this talk. Was told there wasn’t enough evidence !! Andalusia, admittedly, was a very small sample BUT they acted on it in that area and the rates dropped by over 2/3 if that’s not evidence I don’t know what is!!!

I worked in an old folks home last year too, where vit D was doled out every day. Only one of the lovely people caught Covid and that one was not ill.

Hi Brian Donor, David Davis was sidelined in the Brexit negotiations by the Establishment MPs who tried to hold Parliament to ransom and deny the result of the Referendum. Fortunately the Remoaners failed. The Prime Ministers (May) actions might easily have been construed as treasonable in attempting to thwart the will of the democratic majority. Having a pharma scientific background myself, this has been one of the most engaging, interesting and intelligent discussions I've listened to in quite a while. Our bodies are miraculous, and the root cause of a large number of our maladies can be attributed to poor dietary practices and others, like poor sleep hygiene. Clearly, there will always be exceptions (genetic predispositions, etc.), but strong foundations through decent nutrition creates resilience. Targeted research in both nutrition and medicine is the key to moving forward. Since adopting AREDS supplementation 3 years ago, to prevent macular degeneration, I haven't once picked up a virus, despite exposure to them. One a separate note, David Davis is by far and away the best Prime Minister we never had the good fortune to have, imho.

I’m certain if every adult in the UK at the start of the pandemic had been handed out circa 2000iu daily, and as soon as anyone got a positive test was given an initial dose of 30000iu and then 10000 iu for a week, hospital cases/deaths would have been significantly reduced. When the dust settles PHE will totally cover up the fact this proactive, cheap initial action would have helped the NHS and the general population.

@@smokie33 It depends on your own personal circumstances but yes it helped me. Depression is not caused purely due to low Vit D, but having low Vit D can cause depression. Taken from a health care site: “Studies have shown a link between vitamin D deficiency and depression. Researchers behind a 2013 meta-analysis noticed that study participants with depression also had low vitamin D levels. The same analysis found that, statistically, people with low vitamin D were at a much greater risk of depression. The researchers believe that because vitamin D is important to healthy brain function, insufficient nutrient levels may play a role in depression and other mental illnesses. An earlier 2005 studyTrusted Source identified vitamin D receptors in the same areas of the brain associated with depression.”

@@Stuntman707 The evidence was obvious regards Vit D3 and has been for years, government have ignored basic aspects of population health for decades and just encouraged it to get worse. They've created an environment to cause more deaths and more harm in 2020 then blamed it on a faux new virus using a flawed test that cannot indicate infection. Change how people dying is recorded, remove all checks and balances, ramp up the fear mongering and psychological warfare via the media and hey presto you have a pandemic that doesn't exist and ignore any aspects of actually helping people's health. In fact do the complete opposite by closing down healthcare to millions (over a million fewer in patient admissions last year) and chucking out the vulnerable from hospitals - not with any virus as a positive test is meaningless crap, before they were healthy enough to go home and no health or care package in place, many unable to feed themselves properly (I know this from my own work), hence the huge spike in deaths back in Spring 2020. Continue to create worsening health by forcing vulnerable people indoors so zero VitD, chuck in mask wearing that increases bacterial issue (even in surgery mask wearing increases infections/worse outcomes) and social isolation and you drop the immune system of everyone at a stroke = more deaths, more ill health and you then get to classify those deaths as convid with the same repeating of the bunk testing regime. Come spring when seasonal deaths drop you administer the second wave of the experimental poison they call a vaccine, lower the PCR amplifications so you get fewer cases, and hey presto you have your 'miracle'. Except it isn't, it's just as always the seasonal flow of virus and deaths and forcing people to have two jabs a year is just done because come autumn/winter this year the immune compromised and those whom have been left with no healthcare will start dying in excess numbers again meaning another dose of poison that has no benefit. Rinse and repeat ad infinitum.

When I was having dramatic symptoms but not yet diagnosed with MS, my doc had labs done and my d level was a single digit, 6.. 6 months later I was officially diagnosed with MS.. that was 2012. Since then, I take 15,000 units of D almost everyday. I forget to take some days. This now gives me an average level of 75. I also take Vitamin K which helps absorption and utilization of D in body.. It will not cure my MS but hoping it keeps me from becoming dramatically worse. It’s not unusual for MSers to have low levels of d on the onset of MS. This supports the theory that MS begins with a virus. Most MSers take anywhere from 5,000 to 15,000 IU daily. Some even higher doses.

@@chriswales1952 that's not what was stated originally. All were expected to have a 50% chance of survival before they decided to give 50 of the 75 vit D. When most survived, they gave everyone vit D as the results were so strongly positive. In addition to lower deaths, severity of the problems were lessened and a lot did not need the highest levels of care which is apparently dangerous for everyone.

"Above all do no harm" It has not occurred to many of my colleagues that NOT giving something that may do good an DOES NOT DO harm is doing harm. I have been flabbergasted at doctors lack of action in the face of true emergency. I understand the problem because I don't want to hurt patients and being careful and not rash is a must. But Vit D supplementation is a must and people not wanting to study it's affect is tantamount to malpractice in the scientific community. I feel the same way with ivermectin usage in viral load reduction, melatonin usage, interluekin 6 blockage in cytokine storm an hydroxcloroquin (now doing the same thing with dex.), zinc supplementation, and you can keep going.

Yes, and I would add, refusing to investigate auto-immune diseases like Hashimotos and Celiac - I was refused a second TPO antibody test on the grounds that it costs £12-50 (see the NICE document). They threw away the blood sample I'd gone to the trouble of giving. Functional medicine experts think very differently on this and advise on ways to bring down the antibodies. Also, Opticians are not allowed to test glucose levels, even though this is a safe pinprick test for what is the major cause of bllindness! And opticians never tell parents that there is a simple cure to stop Miopia developing in their children (80% in China etc). The cure is to play outside in daylight (linked in complex ways to Emmetropisation by which the eye calibrates it's length.

By choosing primers that are specific to the virus, such as for spike protein regions, then there is a good chance that it is the virus that will show up. Human cellular RNA is unlikely to have the right sections in it, which are specific to viruses. However, a swab test is a soup of viruses, and other viruses, especially other coronaviruses, might well contain the same features and give a false positive. This is the weakness of the test.
