Would love to see an update on "the Ueck"... I remember Him back to the early '70's. Exceptionally gifted man that's was still a better baseball player than 99.99% of the population.

I've loved Ueker ever since I was a kid and Mr. Belvedere was in syndication. I didn't get into baseball until I was an adult, and slowly coming to realize who he really was just made me love him a billion times more. He really is one of the funniest humans of all time.

You know your best friends, the ones that make you laugh about things at work, happened decades ago, life, being old...and you can not have seen for years and within minutes of reuniting with them the laughter begins....That's what watching this video was like. He's a national treasure because he makes us laugh. Yeah within seconds of starting it was old times again. Thanks Mr Uecker, in these times of great division..where the heck are we going/becomming? You remind me of whats' good about life...being an American, being a baseball fan...tx.

I love Bob Uecker. I mean that. Growing up, my family really appreciated humor and we all LOVED Bob Uecker as the funniest man alive. The crazy part is this was the late 70s thru early 90s in Houston! This was bf social media shrunk the world. He is a legend! When his commercials came on tv, my (usually commercial hating) family would all get quiet and soak up his Miller Lite ads "ah, these fans, I love em" and "he missed tag! He missed the tag!"and "I must be in the front row." He transcended sports (tho we all loved baseball). And we couldn't watch enough "Major League." He was so great. "Christ, I can't find it. The hell with it." And if he was on the Tonight Show, my brothers and I were allowed to stay up late to watch him. I still watch clips and start smiling. The guy is a genius in a way that is truly one of a kind. His humor surpasses mere self-deprecation as it leaves one feeling like "not only should I not take myself too seriously but maybe i shouldn't take the blowhards who surround me too seriously either. None of us have this thing figured out." Yet I don't recall him getting laughs at the expense of others. He's so human, endearing and so damned funny. I appreciate it even more as I get older. What a treasure.

In 2013-14, I was interning at a MKE sports radio station, and I got to go cover Brewers games and sit in the press box, and once I was walking in the hallway during a game, Uecker came walking by, I said, "Hey Ueck", and he went "hey, how's it going?"...and gives me a backhanded slap on the hip and went on his merry way! I was completely blown over. Uecker didn't know me from Adam, and he did that to me. A memory I'll never forget.

Bob is hilarious, also Tim McCarver was a great announcer, and unlike many people I liked Howard Cossell his book I never played the game is a great read, this is a fantastic video, I was born in Mass, grew up in Los Angeles the first game my dad took me to Koufax was pitching, I have been a lifelong Dodgers, Red Sox, and Angels fan but have always had a spot for the Brewere because of Bob.

Many many years ago, I used to live in Menomonee Falls, WI, where Ueck's home was (and maybe still is?) and I was at a George Webb's restaurant, waiting in line to place my order, and I heard him say something. Recognized the voice. I just blurt out "You're Bob Uecker!" He turns around and without missing a beat just says "Oh so that's what they're calling me these days!" Shook his hand and we bid each other good day. He's the same guy off the mic as he is in the booth.

He is the most loved sports icon here in Wisconsin. I'm 52 now, and I remember being 10yrs old and listening to the Brewers in the World series on the radio. I remember more about hearing his voice than I do the games. I wish more now than ever that they would win that series... not for them but for this amazing icon! His loyalty deserves it. The king of broadcast...The Ueck!!!

The one person in sports who matters to me more than anyone else. Grew up listening to Brewers games on the radio, listening to him make jokes about his playing days, or how he was born on an Oleo run, or when I was an adult and he had the whole series in Pittsburgh where he slowly learned what furries were. There’s no professional team I want to win a title more than the Brewers, and I need them to do it before he goes.

One of Uke's best was when he said he led the Cardinals in two categories: "Hang in there." and "Get 'em next time." Or when he spoke about the great Japanese baseball player, Sammy Sakasingle. No matter where the ball went, he stopped at first.

I was a kid listening to Brewer's radio. WWF was coming to County Stadium for Wrestlefest 88. For one magical inning you had Uecker and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan in the booth together. The two funniest men I've seen of The top of their heads. I wish a tape of that would be made. I do remember Molitor being tagged out at home and Heenan musing that Paul should have drop kicked him
