Originally telecast on February 2, 1954, when Revlon sponsored the second season on NBC's Tuesday night schedule [10:30pm(et)]. Barbara Britton did such a great job selling Revlon's cosmetics and lipsticks during the show, she became their #1 spokeswoman on their other programs through the early 1960's.

Loved this one. LOL. Him putting the empty gun in his pocket after target practice. I especially loved the old commercials too. Charming. Thank you.

Variety in 1998 when Richard Denning died said the actor he looked too much like to be hired by the studio was Errol Flynn. Apparently he was really in the Navy as he was in the script.

When Richard Lockridge began writing his short stories about Pam and Jerry for the NEW YORK SUN, they weren't amateur detectives. He continued their adventures for THE NEW YORKER magazine- with his wife Frances as collaborator- becoming amateur detectives. They eventually wrote 26 novels {which ended with her death in 1963}, and authorized a radio show, a Broadway play, a movie {with Gracie Allen as Pam}, and the TV series.

They're not Nick and Nora, but Pam and Jerry are not a knock off or imitation--they're great characters on their own. Nick Charles was an ex-private detective who retired when he married Nora, who was rich; Nick ran her business affairs. Pam and Jerry are more middle class, and Jerry was a publisher, never a detective. It sometimes worried the Norths how they kept finding themselves caught up in murder investigations.

They changed sides of the bed in this episode....oh Lord love these commercials revlon lipstick is now12$. Ouch🙃❤️❤️❤️✝️😇
