I think I am most excited for the feature that allows you to take pads from a drum track and turn them into key groups you can play melodically. Def going to have some fun with that one. The Ratcheting seems cool as well. Akai is really stepping up their game with these updates and creating a real ecosystem across devices. I love my Live 2 so much and it just keeps getting better!

I have like 10 videos on this on Watch Later but I came to you first and so glad I did. So straight to the point and thanks for messing with all the controls to really show how things sound. Watched with headphones and got a really good idea for what I like. Can’t wait for this update.

I’m super excited for the new air flavor FX lowfi, UI improvement ,Amp sim, adjustments to 16 levels and it’s really cool Akai is continue to improve existing products.

Ratcheting is gonna be so useful for hi hats. Love this update, I'm gonna try using Amp sims on melodies, love the customization, there's plenty of cool things in this update even though it's a lot of separate things they're all cool and useful

I really appreciate your videos! I have the akai live 2 & I’d like to add extra inputs & outputs I’m thinking of buying the m-audio air 192/14 ..would this be a good device to use?

You can probably swipe your finger across the probablity levels like you can do with velocity.

I tried downloading from the website All they had there was 2.10 not the eleven? I’m back with an insider, the 2.11 update is subject to release on 23 June. See you there!!

Top tip for rachets / verlocity / probability, flick to step sequencer its much easier to do from there.

Have they sorted out the system crashing issues?

Air flavor a godsend when it comes to mpc plugins.....I'm considering getting the sp404 along with my One but I was to get it for effects mostly, HOWEVER, Air Flavor is saving me 650$ right now. It's seems inevitable that I get my hands on the sp404 but I can bang out quality tracks with the Flavor. My only gripe is if the air compressor is serviceable enough for high quality joints getting started

Wassup bro... I've had the native instruments komplete bundle for the longest time with my mpc x. But I'm wondering if you just use the mpc purchased synth plugins? Looks like it makes the flow more streamlined. Especially since I've been having issues with komplete lately

Hey brother, I appreciate you taking the time and sharing this input. I’ve never use the native instruments complete bundle but I’m sure it’s amazing, but the VST‘s/plug-ins that come with the MPC are amazing compared to other VST’s I’ve tried.

After I installed the update my mpc is now telling me that there are new plug ins I need to update and install, what are they and howdo I do this , I forgot

Hey brother I’m not sure if I’m too late or if you figured it out already but I’m trying to figure this out myself at the moment as well lol looks like they have the new instrument plug-ins which cost a few dollars and it might be looking for those files if I’m not mistaken but if anybody else knows please feel free to chime in here. A cool update. I've the feeling that now, with air flavor, you can dirt your souind diret with your MPC. It's not just a plugin who can make difference with SP404, but I've the feeling that it's the beginning of doing kind of effect that you can only have before with external gear like SP404. Do you have this impression ? For me, it was some kind of plugin who are a lack in MPC. This probem is solved now. Thanks a lot for this video. Take Care. You got it right on the dot, I love my 404 and I feel like the 404 still takes priority to be able to fly different effects while you’re performing but when it comes down to sound, air flavor definitely matches the sound of the 404 to some degree. I’ve been able to get a very close and similar sound to the 404 with air flavor now that it’s available which is a huge plus and I love that a akai is continuously giving us these updates

I really don't think this speeds up the workflow. This forced you to use the screen more, not less. Who wants to swipe and tap when you could have customizable buttons instead? Imagine making the - or the + button turn into Program Edit instead. Now THAT would be a workflow improvement!

hey Marlow, I just updated my mpc live to 11.4 which is nice,..but I never received the plugins for the 2.10 update. How do I get the Vibe and other plugins that was free with the update 2.10? Please Help if you could.

Lol. “Now I can save it really fast.” They already had the save button on the screen and they removed it. It’s less convenient now.

We need freeze probability recording when happy, with a line, imho. :-)

@@malobeats It’s dope update but please can you tell Akai we need a visual eq fam,even my Waldorf Quantum keyboard has a better eq,straight visual eq like a fab filter type eq. And o yea a arranger,and I’m straight from he old way of using your ears to eq but to be able to have both in stand alone would be dope dope dope.Push this issue for us fam lol

The update is good but the price for the new plugins is insane..

Let's be honest, Program Edit is such a common operation that it needs its own button or Shift Button combination. Shift Pad 14 works but your hands are over the display side.
