The ending of this mountain of an opera is beyond belief. It could not have been composed any more perfect...It truly leaves you floating like the first kiss of a true love. You knew what you were doing huh Mozart? If you get WIFI in heaven, thank you so much for your hard work and beautiful music.

Do not be sad. Mozart'd won his well deserved reputation as a great genius and master composer in his own life time not necessarily after his death. Haydn told his dad and probably everybody that Mozart was the greatest composer known to him. Everyone had worked with Mozart knew he was a freaking great genius. We only wish he could have earned much more (like any great sopranos back in 18th century) for all the hardworking he'd done and all the great music he'd left for eternity. But he'd been quite well off for a not too short period of time at least @@MrBabujinga

I saw...a woman. Disguised in a maids clothes. Here her husband speak the first, tender words he has offered her in years. Simply because he thinks, she is someone else. I heard the music of true forgiveness filling the theatre, conferring upon all who sat there......perfect absolution. God, was singing through this little man. To all the world. Unstoppable, making my defeat more bitter with every....passing....bar.

You look no further than this piece to know why Mozart was the most talented music composer that ever lived. He died early and couldn't really take it to next level, but the dude was amazing. Everything he did was just an "experiment" for Opera. Opera was his passion. Thank you Mozart for sharing your passion with us.

@@vojtizslav That's true , but the Viennese weren't particularly great friends of Mozart. The people in Prague, as well in Italy alsome in Paris and Munich, adored and loved Mozart significantly more. This has been proven historically. All I have to do is think of Mozart's breathless funeral at the Vienna St.Marxer graveyard

+Matthew Forte At the risk of speaking for another person I believe he meant that had Mozart lived another few decades he would have composed more music at the highest level, but perhaps with some stylistic development into later classical/early romantic. Whether romantic music is at a "higher level" or just an historical evolution is certainly worth discussing, but speculation about Mozart's development is ultimately a futile game. Let us enjoy his body of work to the fullest!

Synopsis : Part 5 of the finale. The Count has discovered Figaro flirting with a woman he thinks is the Countess (really Susanna dressed as the Countess) and calls everyone around in a fury to witness her shaming. Everyone begs pardon for the offenders, but this only infuriates the Count further; until his real wife emerges and reveals the trickery of the past three acts, which finally shames him into begging her forgiveness. The opera ends with the general sentiment that "everyone now will be happy", then all run off to celebrate.
