Im stunned and in tears... its soo beautiful ..play it on and on..her voice., clear as the early cold winter morning... who can be untouched by this performance.. and above all shes soo pretty and unpretentious as she sings ! And.. the orchestra is playing with such delight and yet power....I really love this performance !!

I've heard this piece performed live dozens of times, and I don't think I've heard it sung much better. Yes, she has a very pretty face, but she also has a very beautiful voice. Let he (or she) who is without fault cast the first stone.

I have heard an Angel sing; simply beautiful! I am very grateful to Hr. Mozart and Ms. Jenkins.

She has air on her voices. vowels are to harsh. And its to fast. One tip: if you want to hear how it really has to sound and topversions: 1) Lucia Popp and 2) Barbara Bonny.

Wow! Much better than I expected!!

This certainly is a fantastically performed and sung piece and again leaves me shaking my head in wonderment how a man on this earth can write that music. Mozart, ordained by God, is the greatest composer who ever lived, and we thankfully can enjoy every single day his most amazing work.

This is by far the best recording of Laudate I've heard. Clarity of voice, musicality, warmth, non pretentiousness ... good tempo as well.

I heard the music far from the video, and was riveted... Only an angel could be as inspired and true to the essence of art! so I loooked, and there she was ! ! ! angels are female, no doubt about it

Katherine Jenkins is excellent. Mozart of course as everybody knows is a GENIUS........indeed this why life is so precious !

Thank you, Judi. Music and art created to centre on God. Only when the West understands that and stops drifting from God,, might it find some order.

I expected this to be dreadful and, surprise, it was quite lovely. Not Popp or Gerzmava, but good on its own terms. Jenkins is so beautiful it almost makes my teeth hurt.

So agreed...not everyone can be a Popp..but Ms J is very good on her own terms as you say...I'm not a singer but a few small things could ,I think improve her a bit but no doubt she knows that herself.

Sang this in a college choir in the 1980's with a heavy set soprano on the solo. This is the closest in voice and tempo and thus my favorite. Not too much verbrato and the strings are excellent because of their downbeat on the cadence, particularly the bass and cello. Brings tears every time. This composition by Mozart is the best in human history. ......and every knee shall bow......

Not sure why you felt you had to mention that the soprano you sang with in college was "heavy set.???. What the *uck does that have to do with anything except to prove you are a jerk.

Nice to hear a soprano that can do justice to the entire range of this piece. Her lower notes are effective as well as audible.

i think people are jealous of the fact that she is beautiful AND talented. I had a playlist of different Laudate Dominum interpretations going on while doing some work, and was just hypnotized by this one, clicked on the window to see who it was and was... SURPRISED... to see it was this physically beautiful gal. Good for her, stop hating!

Engel´s beautiful voice

This sounds Heavenly. I guess I don't have an ear for what DIVAs would consider good. What others think good, I'd probably hate. I love this version and I guess it's a matter of taste as I can feel the breathe and soul of this piece in Ms Jenkin's singing.
