Malaysia is the leader in the world’s halal industry. The success story of Malaysia as the pioneer in the halal industry began in 1974 when the Research Centre for the Islamic Affairs Division in the Prime Minister’s Office started to issue halal certification letters for products that met the halal criteria at that time. The first halal standards released in 2000 was an important milestone for Malaysia as it became the first country to have a documented and systematic Halal assurance system. The standards became the impetus to a new revolution that had transformed Halal, from strength to strength, from a traditional cottage industry to a vibrant new economy with an estimated global market value of USD2.30 trillion. JAKIM was the world’s first halal certification body responsible for monitoring the halal industry, leading to the amendment of Malaysia’s Trade Description Act in 2011 which gives JAKIM a much stronger mandate to regulate the halal industry. JAKIM’s recognition programme for international Halal bodies is the most stringent and sought-after bilateral halal system recognition programme in the world with over 50 international bodies registered to-date. The iconic Malaysia Halal logo is the most sought-after, globally-recognised hallmark that serves as an emblem for the country’s reputation as the world’s leading halal hub.

If you want to move to Malaysia from the UK do it now.. the UK economy is going downhill fast.. just look at the state of their high streets.. full of Poundland and betting shop.. and boarded up retails.. since the UK economy it's in synergy with the collapsing US economy.. things will get very bad once the USD finally goes belly up.. that day might come as early as next year.. you should team up with Saira Hayati... Malaysia needs more people like you.. you should explore Penang or Johor

Hermm.. On 3:54, I think you meant Malaysian, not Malay. Malay is just one of the ethnic group. Not all Malaysians are Malays. They are Malaysian of Chinese decent, or Malaysian of indian decent. But they are not Malays. "Malay" usage is not interchangeable with nationality as like "English" is being used for British (in a general way). We would be confused if you refer our Chinese or indian Malaysian brethren as Malays, because they are not.

@@StayBlessedTV His is just one of the millions of views in Malaysia. The thing is Malaysia is a Federation and there is incessant push-and-pull between the Federation and the States. This is usual when you have a central Center of power and outlying decentralized centers of limited power. The States will always try to wrestle more power from the Centre and this is normal human political behavior that may take the form of religion. One State notably passed takzir criminal laws in their state legislature even though these same takzir criminal laws are enshrined in the Federal laws. The Federal criminal laws are civil laws and the takzir laws are enshrined in them according to maqasid shariah. The State wanted to put these takzir criminal laws under their own control as together with these laws will come their own enforcement units, etc. This is just a tactic to solidify their hold over their constituents. Luckily for the Federation, the Supreme Court ruled that the takzir laws promulgated by the State legislature were unconstitutional. This tug-of-war between the Central Government and the State Government has unfortunately been dressed as one between liberal Islam and conservative Islam, which is absolutely untrue since Islam in the States and the Federation lies under the Sultans and the King. It is not possible for an overly liberal Islam to emerge, nor an overly conservative Islam to emerge in Malaysia without the approval of all the 9 hereditary Sultans, and ultimately the Council of Rulers.
