Moving to Japan: Tokyo Share House | Room Tour

Join me for a tour of my Tokyo share house, the cheapest livable option I could find in the city. Living here for 4 months, I'll spill the beans on what it was like, how much it cost, and whether it was worth it. Located in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk from both my Japanese language school and favorite tourist spots, this share house offered a cozy balance of peace and convenience. Take a peek inside my budget-friendly living experience and discover the hidden gems of Tokyo's dorm life!

The best thing about cheap accomodations is how they motivate you to get out and see Tokyo. Id certainly be inside as little as possible.. I love how they have looser building codes to allow for compact cheap living there. You dont see that here.

That’s so true, these kind of accommodations definitely get you out the door and exploring. I was most surprised to find out that some apartments don’t include a bathroom, those are even cheaper.

@@RenaExplores Wow so They just have a single bathroom for the building or per floor? We in the western world really aren't accustomed to sharing on that level. Lol.

@@SmokeandSpirit Yeah sometimes for the whole building, usually there aren't too many units though. Not having a shower in-unit is something that happens as well, since people can rely on public bath houses.

Nice, how did you get the accommodation? and can you share like a web site to contact the house or agency.

To be honest I just googled it, there are a few big share house platforms in Tokyo that will come up right away. I recommend googling share houses in the neighborhood you are interested in. The platforms usually have a lot of convenient filters like price and room types.
