Akiya Adventure: Exploring Our Stunning Rural Japanese Villa | Abandoned for Years! EP. 1

This time, we would like to introduce you to the 50-year-old traditional Japanese house that we purchased in November 2023. We will show you around the house, identify the repair spots, and explain our repair plans. Additionally, as a foreigner, you will need a method of transportation for daily use. We'll show you how we were able to obtain a motorcycle in Japan, how much it cost, and who can handle the registration.
We hope you enjoy this episode 1 of our Traditional Japanese House series in 2023.

I know the feeling of staying in a freezing, old akiya for the first time! It can feel a bit overwhelming thinking about all the work ahead. You've got a great yard there. Plenty of space for a nice deck.

@Pacrimjin So true!! Plenty of work is waiting for us. But on the brighter side, it's going to be nice and beautiful after restoring it to its original look. It's surprising that the 50-year-old air conditioner is still operating. We are getting help to replace one or two of them just to keep the house warm. We still like the look of these old-style AC units, so we try to keep a few around.

Given a chance like that, I would definitely sleep there, even for more than a month 😅
